How powerful is that? My God! I learned "chunking" from studying things like NLP. It gave me a basis for the creation of many other variation strategies of getting things done. It used to be, "lets set goals, write them all down, and then make plans to achieve them." It isn't that anymore, at least from what I've intentionally witnessed and studied in people's behavior both in business, and in day to day tasks.

What we've done as a species is simply this: Get Smarter. If this is your life (human behavior) which it is mine, it's easy to start to see patterns in human beings. In addition, I'm always looking for the edge. What new strategy really has the edge over other strategies, and how can I constantly and massively expand? Great questions to ask yourself, DAILY because your brain does this thing called "divergent thinking," which gives you the ability to think creatively, go outside of some rigid neurological pattern (belief), and put things that wouldn't normally go together, together, and create something new. If that is your dominant strategy for thinking, (which can be trained into your mind) and even if you just read that sentence, it gives you massive power to simply do different things.

I've been putting into action these 10, 10 minute actions and it's literally transforming how I operate. Yes, some things take a bit longer, but the way your mind looks at a 10 minute project is radically different then a 2 hour project. It's extraordinary! I've been a student of what I call Mind Strategies, and this is definitely one of them that simply put, gets results. Thanks for reading everyone!

Ok Ryan, I'm a little confused. What 10, 10 minutes things do you do? Just 10 things that take 10 minutes or some specific 10 items?

      Great question! Clarification follows:

I sit down with a notepad on my computer, ask myself this question:

What ten minute action would contribute to getting results in what specific area?

And then I answer the question, jot it down, and put the number 1 next to it. Then I do the same process 9 more times! Having a list of 10, powerful result driven 10 minute actions (writing an article, reading a half of chapter). It changes the way your mind interacts with the concept of "goals," and is incredibly powerful in creating a snowball of measurable results! Great question.

A good example of Newton's laws of motion...when we move in a forward direction we gain momentum....AKA: Snowball effect.

This is a great idea. I never heard of 10, 10 minute actions and will try to implement it into my daily action plans.

I do subscribe to the anti-procrastination belief that taking just five minutes to start on a dreaded task is better than nothing and usually leads to getting it done.

Of course, these days I'm outsourcing more and more "dreaded tasks"

          Peace,
          Stephanie

Ok, that's what I thought you meant.

I do something similar. I usually read about 5 books at a time. Not at once in case someone decides to get cute . What I do is read a few pages of each book every day.

One is usually for pure enjoyment, fiction, the reset are on subjects that will help me with my mind, business, programming, etc…

I also try to keep my email under control, so the spam doesn’t take over my inbox.

Plus I make entries onto forums and work on my websites.

Like you say, short projects that all contribute to the whole in some way.

There is a project that I've been working on this month that uses this very principle, but I didn't call it 10 10, that I'll share with everyone at the end of the month when it's finished.
