
How to overcome a panic attack.
Here's a little bit of info I bet you didn't know about me. I have generalized anxiety disorder. What this means is that sometimes, for no reason at all I'll start having a panic attack.
For those of you that have never had one, well, you're lucky. It feels like a heart attack, mixed with the scariest thought you could ever imagine, paired with a swift kick in the stomach so you can't breathe.
Here's what I do to overcome these little bouts.
1. I close my eyes, and count to ten verrrrrrry slowly.
2. Then I do a breathing exercise. Breathe deeply in. Exhale slowly while saying "avocado" over and over (don't ask why, it just works)
3. try and take a step back, and realize that everything is ok, and the universe is how it should be.
After that, I'm fine, and ready to take on the day.
