I don't mean incessant planning, constant intellectualizing, trying to put fires out before they start.

I don't mean planning every step of the way, for I've learned the universe has a sense of humor, and my ego has been stung on more than one occasion when I didn't chuckle along when things didn't go according to *my plan.*

I mean, how prepared are you to throw out all of your plans when change says you should? When the universe is hitting you over a head with a sledgehammer?

    Interesting. Dude I gotta tell ya, I'm the king of over-analyzing.

    Always had an analytical / mathematical mind - loved numbers - that sort of thing. Looking back it's kind of funny...

    Your mind is racing at 200 mph, you're thinkin' every last detail through... When all everyone else around you sees is procrastination - nothing gettin' done.

    To address your question, though.... I'm totally prepared to change my 'plans' at any given moment now. Complete 180 degree flip from the way I used to be.

    Life is too short to stress about that stuff too much, and basically risk your sanity. It's SO much better when you just adopt a kind of 'go with the flow' mentality.

    When things start gettin' under my skin I just take a deep breath and remind myself how lucky I am to have come this far - and that at least I'm not in harm's way 24/7. (former Marine / OIF Vet)

    "Failing to plan is planning to fail"

    "Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance"

    Both great quotes about planning things out - and they make sense... But in the end I truly do believe NOT having a strict, detailed plan is the way to go.

    A relaxed, rough-edged plan that you're ready to deviate from if necessary makes for a lot fewer headaches.

      I agree - a plan is great! But you need to be flexible - nothing is constant in life....I am reading a book right now - the guy says don't create your to-do-list - create a "what NEEDS to get done list" - it's all about results.....

    A good plan is a resilient plan. A good plan IS NOT rigid, its flexible.

    Especially in the internet marketing world where things change at lightning speed, this is absolutely critical...props to ryan
