Hi Warriors!

I'm going to make a confession. I am a very lazy person, and that is why I keep failing. I always start projects but they end up dead. I have been better to things now, but I can still feel the laziness inside me. How can I get rid of it? How can I work effectively without other people/things disturbing me all the time.

I procrastinate and always end up disappointed. I would consider myself as a very clever person, I have a lot of knowledge and a lot of wisdom, but when you are lazy it doesn't matter.

Lack of motivation may be the answer.. I just don't know. Sometimes I feel like a failure, but this is mainly because of the procrastination results in disappointment -> Creating the feeling that you are a failure.

Help me out warriors!

    Find out what you are passionate about. Not what you like to do, what you really can't do without. Then do that! Everytime you feel yourself getting sluggish or putting things off, picture yourself (the self you are when you're not lazy) grabbing your head and shaking it voilently, saying "get going, IT'S CALLED WORK FOR A REASON!"

    • That's true, Assess first yourself. Know what things you are good at.

      Your strengths and your best quality that will be your asset in your target goal.

      Know also your weaknesses, things that you lack of.

      After you know your weaknesses, make a room for improvement.

      ALso have a person that will able to see you all through out, will be your mentor in every thing you do, an advice or a motivator.

      I know there are people who can work alone, but as a start you need someone to guide you, maybe a friend closest to you.
  • Develop good habits and patterns. Maybe start off slowly and list 1-2 short term goals you'd like to complete each day, try to pick things that can become habitual for you. Once these become second nature, add on more and more.

    Doing productive things makes the time you spend relaxing SO much more enjoyable -- always hold on to that. Good luck.

    • I agree...set good habits and daily rituals that you can stick to and build from there. Once you get into the habit of finishing a project, accomplishing a goal or milestone - no matter how small you will begin to condition yourself out of that laziness.
  • Whether you think you are lazy or not you are right! What I mean is that saying you are lazy will make you a lazy person. You are taking poison by telling yourself you are lazy. It takes 1 second to change laziness. It sounds like you are capable of a lot, and its good you are confronting your laziness.

    • I disagree on that. Some times it could be because of various aspects of our body nature effected by metabolism and immunity system. Consulting a dietician could be a start. Also try yoga. It will refreshen you up.

  • Don't be too harsh on yourself, bro.

    Even a lot of hard-working folks are spinning their wheels! Find something you're passionate about (it's easier to be more hard-working and focused, when we're doing what we love --it doesn't feel like work). Identify your gifts, they come naturally and offer them to serve others. Forget making 5k/10k per mp, for now. 1k/2k per mo is feasible...

    It should also be something you can monetize. Then take a look at your environment and remove distracting elements or people, or start working in the Library, for sometime.

    Take baby steps. Focus on one business model. Ignore most of those magnetic sales letters (unless you're studying copywriting).

    Don't be harsh on yourself. Never, never give up. Some of the men we admire went through periods when they could be technically classified as ''failures''. But, failing is part of success.

    It's an asset that you think of yourself as being smart. You can leverage other people's skills, through outsourcing. You can stay on the conceptual level, while others do the ''practical'' stuff.

    I'd suggest you get Paul Myers report : Need to know. Study some of Rich Schefren and Jay Abraham's works. Key in into the concept of LEVERAGE.

  • Lazyness is an evil spirit that you have to rebuke in your life through prayer. However, you have to be determined in whatever you do as nothing good come so cheap and easy. Be focused, have a plan and how you will accomplish those plans and never postpone what you are to do at this moment to another time. With God on your side, you will get rid of laziness.

  • Another bit of advice: My work habits are directly tied to my physical condition. The more active I am (walking, running, working out) the better I am at maintaining focus, and accomplishing tasks.
  • I think if you get in touch with your inner self and like who you are. Say "I am very productive in what I do" write it and say it daily, find your passion for what you like to do then Begin and believe in yourself and what you do. Don't listen to negativity from your innerself or anyone only positive thoughts and sayings. Negativity only belongs on a battery!!!
  • Laziness the bane of all man kind if there was only some sort of pill. Maybe thinking of a different problem/solution there. Also would it be lazy to take a pill to cure laziness?


    I think the only cure is hard work. Achievable targets and a good mental attitude. I am also doing battle with the foe that's name is lazy. I am trying to change my whole life outlook, one small thing at a time. For example I could do my chores now or later, Lazy man does them later or not at all. Not longer lazy man does stuff now.

    • An easy way to deal with procrastination, go to you-tube and find a video about EFT - emotional freedom technique, look for Brad Yates.
      Find a session about goals or motivation, and just do it.

      I have tried it and still use it, and it works.

      It takes about 10 minutes - just do it, and see the results.

  • Laziness is awful, you end up not achieving your potential, I believe each individual has a great talent if we can only take time to identify what it is, I would advice you to identify what your talent is and focus more on it. I identify with you I lost so much time and money due to laziness. The advice you have received above is more than enough just change your attitude and only do what you can do , what you cannot delegate and you will be on track!

    Thanks so much for being honest. Many are not honest as you are. I tell you the truth, i feel you. I have been in the same shoes as you are in for the last four years since i joined college. I had not known that i had this problem earlier on, maybe because in high school and primary, we were subjects to follow the set rules and schedules, and beatings and punishments, when we did not do according to the simple set rules and procedures.

    in college life became different because i now had to take charge of my own life, and too much freedom was at my disposure.

    Let me tell you, i have done everything possible to get the solution of this problem, but now i can see light at the end of the dark turnell merely because i accepted i have the problem, i shared with a few trusted friends, i reseached from books and internet, i sought counseling from a counselor and spiritual help, i prayed to God since i am a committed Christian, and trust me, God and the Spiritual authority revealed to me that my problem was lack of disciplining my body. I always don't want to force my body/ flesh to do what it is supposed to do, but i want to please it, yet it is the graetest enemy of man, as the Bible quotes. You can try to write shedules, and learn discipline, i was too hard on myself, because i wanted to improve, but dont be too hard!

    Begin with baby steps and you will move 1000 miles. A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step. Congratulate yourself for every step forward that you make. Make a list of things you have planned to do for the next day; and when you accomplish tick and tap yourself and tell yourself you are doing graest!

    Sit down and find out why you exist and know you exist for a purpose. You exist to make a difference in the world. God created you for a purpose, that no one else can fulfill apart from you. You are great! let not the devil deceiveFind you! find your role in life and what excites you to do and you will be motivated.

      I also think that you have to see your problems in the eye, you have to be honest and admit your mistakes if you want to improve yourself.

      A human is powerful. Much more powerful than anyone really think they are.
  • It is all about what you THINK about yourself.

    When you hold this belief that you are lazy, you simply become what you think about.

    However, laziness comes because of lack of motivation. When you have a project, it ended up "dead" because you was not persistent enough to continue it.

    It is most likely you were focused too much on the money, that's not going to help you do something for long periods of time (like 5-10 years). Because as soon as you get the money out of that project, you are going to lose interest very quickly.

    I did this mistake 2 times in the past. I went to great markets with huge profit potential, but simply I was not interested on the subject, and as soon as I build the entire thing, I lost interest, and completely neglected it.

    That's the price to pay!

    So if you want to overcome the laziness, the procrastination and the weird feeling of "i do not feel like doing this right now" you want to make a list with the things that you want to accomplish. And a list of things you want to avoid.

    In each of those lists, write what you are going to accomplish if you finish that project (example: being even more lazy). You are lazy now, but perhaps you have this desire to be even MORE lazy, so set that as a goal :-) and attack the laziness with a laziness!

    And write what you want to avoid, if you do not finish that project. You have to investigate your fears.

    A fear is the most motivating emotion that can MOVE YOU away from what you do not like. So see what you fear or going to lose along the way if you do not work on your project.

  • Keeping record, scheduling yourself, breaking bad habit, stop thinking so much, and etc. Try whatever it takes to keep you moving
  • Failing is not a bad thing, but constantly failing is a matter of concern. My advice to u will be to take a short break from ur schedule. Think upon ur strategies in a new manner, and try to fill the loop holes which u find.

  • Choose the this day to be hardworking! You can change your future blueprint.
    You are already facing the issue - good start; note the consequences and what you are losing if you stay put. Now replace that by taking actions - you need that by planning your day and creating a list of tasks, and tracking your progress. Connect with people - share your plan with them, and be accountable for delivering the results. Hope this helps.
  • Laziness is nothing but a poor history of reinforcement for task completion behavior (or on task behavior as we say in the biz). The posts above are really on target when it comes to looking for less aversive areas to concentrate your efforts. First you need to track your current behavior (work) output to develop a baseline. Then set small and incremental objectives to meet and if possible make a visual representation of your progress i.e. graph or interval or milestone bar where every time you reach you small destination is visually obvious and represent your cumulative efforts. This will help your drive for sure. Good luck!

    • What keeps most people motivated is the experience of success. Even mini successes can keep us going. If you are lazy sir...I say learn to become a great leader and outsource, outsource, outsource.

      Become the General not the foot soldier and hire people off of odesk, elance, or vworker to do your grunt work for you.

      But a word of caution, only pay for results. Never give an upfront fee.

  • OK here is my take on it. I may be totally wrong on this but this is what I think. Sometimes when we think we are lazy, we may actually not be. We may be mentally overloaded. Think about it. You could be actually really be having a million different goals you are wanting to achieve. However, because your mind is always working and thinking about it... you end up sapped due to the energy put in thinking about it and not having a plan to take action on how to achieve these goals.. so the more you think about it, the more scattered our thoughts are and once again this is very draining... so it the laziness be interpreted as being mentally and emotionally drained by this subconscious thinking? Something to consider. I am only saying this as a great possibility because I had that problem too. I am actually a person with huge dreams and goals and know that action needs to be made to create. But due to the fact that I never had a plan of action, I felt as if I was literally starting to stress about these dreams and knowing I want them to come true but at the same time could not find the energy or plan to even start working towards it. So since I could not tap into it which frustrated me more.. and sapped me more.. I also felt like I was one of those who "talked the talk but never walked the talk". Yeah oh yeah it was frustrating. But as it turned out, it was not that I was lazy or even a big talker... I was physically, mentally and emotionally drained due to having a bunch of goals in my head scattered everywhere and thinking about it (even on a subconscious level) all of the time. But little by little I started organizing what I need to do (with some help which I needed) and I am finding myself more motivated to keep it up. Just something to think about what could be happening with you?

  • Basically you need to get more motivated, try to do more things that you really are interested in. Also try to think more positive about yourself, negative self talk can do a lot of damage.

    I too had the same problem but still have overcome this situation plus i have an anxiety disorder, so if i can do it i definitely know you can too. I hope everything goes well for you buddy.

      Now, here is the thing. I have been on my "focused" level in almost 2 weeks now. I made $0 dollars from affiliate sales right now, I am trying and trying but I think I gotta try harder.

      Being focused helped me gain more visitors to my site(30-40 on average now, but still no sales). I can't give you the link right now, but that is not what I was going to talk about in this reply.

      I just wanted to see if you can help me out again.
      I've made progress on my laziness, but what am I doing wrong here? How long will it take me before I can generate money from affiliates? What should I do to keep my motivation up, I mean even one single sale could fly me to the moon and keep me motivated more. I just have to fight and don't give up I guess. I hope you warriors can help me out..

  • I am not experienced with this stuff either but unfortunately things can take time. But what I feel IS effective is building the trust of those on your list and one easy way to do that is to provide a mini free ecourse through your autoresponder so they see you have something to offer and then you can start advertising. Just a suggestion but building trust is a biggie, and providing something that they can use for free is a huge way to earn the trust. Or you can give them a free ebook, and if you have tried that, perhaps the ecourse (which I find to be a better idea) works well. If this idea interests you, I have a few I can give you (as you don't have to create them yourself, there are lots of free ones that you can take, as long as whoever has created them gives permission). I do not have enough posts yet to privately IM you, so you can contact me through my site which is in my sig if you would like and I will email the courses to you.

    Once you find out what your true passion is, you won't need motivation to achieve your goals. That's a mistake a lot of people make when they enter the IM niche. You'd be surprised at how many people actually hate internet marketing and still wonder why they can't make it...

    Motivation is only needed for doing things you hate. And if you constantly do things you hate, you'll never be truly successful.
  • I can totally relate to what you are saying because I am the same way. There are two things going on here - one is the laziness and procrastination and the other is being disturbed all of the time. The matter of being disturbed is practical, the lazy syndrome is patterned behavior. The reason why you allow yourself to be disturbed all the time is because it fits into your pattern of laziness and procrastination. It gives you a "valid" excuse (to yourself) as to why you couldn't finish this, that or the other thing. You need to begin cutting into that one first by setting definite limits on others' access to you. Refuse to be interrupted - that one is within your control.

    For a lot of my early life I was a "jack of all trades, master of none." Although I thought I was learning and being productive, I was sabotaging my growth and advancement by basically staying in place and spinning my wheels. It took a long, long time for me to realize that I was going nowhere.

    Through many failures and blaming the world, others, whatever, for my stagnation, I finally began looking at myself and what I was doing with my attention. And therein lies the fault. I discovered that, at the root of all that flighty attention and never completing anything before going on to the next thing, was profound fear and a poor self image. I didn't believe in myself. On the surface, it didn't show at all and no one would have guessed. I began to see how ingrained, unconscious beliefs were actually informing my thought process which, in turn, was helping to mold or create the outcomes in my life.

    For me, laziness and procrastination were by-products of fundamentally not believing in myself. I then knew that it was I who had to take responsibility and begin to do something different. Life began to change for me when I made a vow to myself that I would complete one thing, and one thing only, before moving on to the next. I confronted negative thoughts by replacing them with positive ones.

    This is just my story and everyone is different. But you and only you must transform chronic laziness by making some agreements with yourself and living by them. It's good to put things in writing. Start by making a short, doable list of the things that you don't want to do anymore and a few things that you want to accomplish. Call three of your friends and ask them if they will help you be accountable for these things. Stay in close touch with these people every day and confess your successes and your failures. Make the decision to go to battle with the self-defeating strategies and actions that are limiting your capacity to realize success in your life.

      it resonated deeply for me
      i think that lack of valuing oneself or believing in oneself can often be behind apparent 'laziness'
      it is for me
      but also if you are a creative, its in the nature of creativity that those who serve the creative spirit frequently have more than one project on the boil at the same time
      often we start a new project b4 old ones are complete, some of us need that to be motivated by the stimulation of variety

      it takes some discipline to learn FOCUS
      cos nothing gets done/completed without focus

      this is like daily practice for me,
      some days are better than others
      some hours are better than others
      also i had to recognise that it is unrealistic to expect myself to be at peak performance constantly,

      like you cant work the soil continuously over 5 years, every third year it should be left fallow to renew
      and it seems many of us in this modern culutre want to be productive 100% of the time
      not recognising that some of our best intuitions and ideas actually float along when we are relaxing

      of course those ideas wont come to anything without disciplined action

    No one here can help you if you do not want to help yourself!

    You have two choices...

    Continue complaining / making excuse's and FAIL
    or...
    FIX yourself by changing these negative, destructive patterns!

  • A little trick I was taught awhile back was the one minute schedule.

    Make your list of tasks to be done. Then devote one minute to the first task. One minute isn't so bad and you go into it knowing you will be done in a few seconds. But what usually happens is that you find you got the hard part over, "getting started", and often end up working on that task much longer than 1 minute. Move on to the next task. And if you only devote one minute, at least you made forward progress. Tomorrow's one minute may turn into one hour or more.

  • FinallyFree you sound just like me! I too think I am rather clever and witty with a decent amount of smarts...but anytime I want to accomplish something my laziness and tendency to procrastinate gets the best of my brain :\. I'm glad someone finally brought this up!

    Here is my update.

    I just started on my third week, and everything seems to go great. I work more and more, but I still make $0 dollars a day on IM. Sad, but I don't give up. I have received first page positions on my main keywords on Google, yesterday I made a all-time-high record with 72 visitors.(I have worked on the site for 2 weeks, so it is pretty good).

    however.. I just lost ALL my positions on Google! I am on 100-200 positions now. I dropped 100+ positions I have no idea why this is happening. It is all unique content, 550+ words per article written by me. I hope this is temporary, because if it is not, then it is wasted work(kinda wasted work, I have learned a lot in those 2 weeks).

    Im still working. I woke up early today, so I feel good. Thank you again people!
  • I definitely agree with those who say you need passion. You need a reason for getting out of bed or off the sofa and getting to work. If you want to work online, there are many ways you can outsource the work you don't want to do - many jobs for a fairly small amount of money.

    Check with your doctor to make sure your "laziness" isn't caused by an illness.

    Find your passion - what excites you.

    Take action every day even if it is one small step. You must keep moving forward.

    Start out with small, easily accomplished goals.

    Every evening jot a couple of notes about what you accomplished that day. You will be surprised when you look back later and see how much you really did accomplish.

    The more you accomplish in the area you are most passionate about, the more you will want to continue. Once you get that forward movement going, you will not want to stop until you reach your ultimate goal!

    Trust me on this one, you need to excerise - throughout the day. Eat fruit and veg, clean meat with meals, you'll be well away with your internet marketing rather energeitly and ethusiastically!

  • Buddy, you are not alone. There are THOUSANDS of people suffering from this problem in this forum.

    I don't think you're lazy because you're at this forum and that tells me you're motivated. You have a drive.

    But something is also applying the brakes that is halting you from where you want to go: that brakes are fear.

    Fear is anticipation of upcoming pain.

    You said you've been constantly disappointed with your previous projects - that is what's causing the pain. You're afraid that'll happen again so you tend to procrastinate to avoid that pain - thinking you're "lazy".

    But in actuality, you're not. You're just frustrated because you're pushing the pedal and brakes at the same time- you're in stress.

    You want to make money on one hand and fear is blocking you like a linebacker on the other- not exactly a pretty place to be.



    In my experience, there are 2 ways you can resolve this:

    1. just do what you're doing right now - you will eventually accumulate enough pain that one day you'll throw up your hands and put your foot down and say, "THATS IT! I'VE HAD IT WITH THIS ****" and you'll finally start acting because you've gone over the pain threshold. You're sick to the stomach and you'll see no other option but to actually go forward.

    2. try to imagine both sides of pain - what will happen if you don't do this? (e.g. risking regretting in life when you reminisce when you're old and immobile) vs. doing it (risking disappointment). Which would you prefer?

    IMHO, I choose to actually do it now because I know I won't be regretting when I look back from my deathbed that I've actually gave it my 110%, even if it did fail.

    What'll be REALLY painful is, if I didn't take action that was worth a shot because of fear. I wouldn't EVER want that.


    And here's a little secret that will help you even more-

    there's no such thing as "failures"


    Really. How do you think you really "learn"?

    It's not through textbooks, my friend. It's actually through experiences- you learn from "failures".

    Everytime you try and fail, try to think, "what can I learn from this?"

    If you've learned something, you haven't failed. You've learned how it doesn't work if you do it like that. With enough of these trial and error, and learning from the outcome, you'll get to where you'll want to be. Take this to heart, and you'll literally CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

  • I keep goals on stickynotes on my desktop. I also keep my goals listed chronologically on a note pad file. Set realistic and measurable goals and you'll lose all of that stress over "being lazy". One of my friends, who has a made lot of money doing IM, always gets down on himself as being lazy. Yet, he is still making money. I tell him "It's just stress" and he needs to stop sabotaging himself. This may sound overly optimistic, but I feel that positivity is crucial in a business where you administer your own work load.

  • Maybe you don't have the "must" mind. Put your money in mortgage and you will not lazy anymore because you need to work for the mortgage. This way you are forced to work. Once you have family, kids you have this must situation because you need to feed your family

    1 - Choose to do something you really love - the time goes much faster when you are working

    2 - Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated - it makes you feel more awake

    3 - Go for a short walk or do some other exercise before sitting down to work - again it makes you feel more awake and less lazy

  • i used to think i was lazy but when I got nothing to do I got bored and started to do any work i could find . You are never lazy , you are doing things that are very important to you whether that is entertainment ,music or whatever you want that makes you feel good . We all want to feel good . If you imagine how good you would feel if you reach at least one of the targets you dream of , you would amazed how hardworking you would be towards reaching it
  • Procrastination the type of problems in most people's lives. The results of procrastinating might be minimal, merely a annoyance or they can be drastic. Little things that any of us postpone can get major tasks. Turned off doing the laundry for your week and it will take that you simply few hours to scrub them. Procrastinating about major things in your everyday living is amongst the reasons you won't ever fulfil your dreams.

  • Figure out your task and continue working on the main goal. Laziness is just resistance in doing action. The realization that you are lazy and the urge to act immediately through self discipline could help you to overcome the problem.

    Look, without disciplining yourself, you will never have anything in life. Create good habits, slowly, one at a time. What is the most important thing you want to accomplish in your life? From that, figure out what you must do to get there. Don't overdo it with trying to change too many things at one time. You'll get discouraged too quickly.

    Also if you do fail at a task one day, shake yourself off and go for it the next day. But never stop trying to do it. I hope you succeed at this. You'll be a better person in the long run!

  • You need to choose a specific niche and then stick to it. You need to make a time schedule with some milestones to achieve. Every time you reach one, you will feel comfortable, no matter how small it is. The important thing is not the pace, but that you work targeted towards the big goal.

  • Just a friendly advice though..., Have an inspirations in life, think happy thoughts everyday, share it to your friends , and be positive all the time.. I think it is effective to do this way, cause I think its all in the mind that you think your a lazy person. If you have this on mind what I advised you, your thinking of being a lazy person will be diverted on the positive side. I hope this would help.

    break your goals down into manageable tasks and schedule a time for them

    be very clear as to what your goals are and why you need to achieve them

    be honest with yourself, what do you want to accomplish and why

    its not laziness, your goals are not driving you, as you dont have a strong enough reason to accomplish them

  • You said it yourself, you are intelligent person you know what your problems are when it comes to doing this business. Now if you really want to succeed and finish all the things that you have started, i would suggest for you to pray from your heart ask for guidance and to keep you motivated. Like what the bible say "ask and you shall receive." Delight yourself unto the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart."

  • A few things I would recommend.
    Get away from all the losers in life.
    Diet - change this to more raw fruits and vegetables
    Relaxation - Try Meditation, Tai Chi stance to relax and build energy
    Law of Attraction - Read some books on this daily, and listen to motivation speakers.
    If you're a pot smoker or boozer - Quit
    Exercise

    btw, when I say losers, stay away from the facebook unless it's business related, also any friends, family, associates etc that don't have a winning attitude.
    When you speak or type don't say anything unless it's something good.
    When people are negative, picking on others, or just being unpleasant run away in the other direction.

    If you like two of my favorite Motivational Speakers are Zig Ziglar and Les Brown, I do love them all but click the links to listen to some clips I picked out, I try to do that daily. It's important to feed your mind good positive stuff.

  • The first step is recognizing& admitting your problem. Everyone has problems that hold them back in one way or another. Now figure out how to fix the problem. Start slow set a goal each day or week and once you've achieved one goal set a new one until you overcome your problem!

  • make a plan of just short simple works. ask urself to done it in meantime. write down some motivation quotations on paper and stick it around your walls, on door, ur mirror. this will remind you every second about your work or goal. Try it it will surely help you.

    • Learn how to multitask!. You know what they say - exercise lead to perfect (something like that). You will probably failing year after year until you get a little success. In online business it's mostly about how long you can stay in game. So don't give up!

  • Maybe your projects you have set out for yourself simply need more time to finish (overwhelm kicks in and you completely give up on it right?) or your deadline to finish is too unrealistic... I would suggest you set smaller action steps and a date of completion with a realistic date to finish. You have strengths, things you are passionate about that you can monetize, but it's important to work at what you have knowledge about and your target market spends money on.

  • I say be relaxed and not give yourself too much stick. Procrastination happens to every single one of us, it just how happens as to how we respond to adversities. Most of the time, we being lazy is that we are in our comfort zone and subconsciously we will want to rest on our laurels. The main thing it could be you not finding your passion but instead dwelling on stuff that matters little.

    Start a clean slate and banish all those negative thoughts. Start reflecting within yourself and see what are you really good at or are really interested in since young. All of us have dreams and it may be just that most of us forgotten about them or are depressed due to repeated failures. Focus on your passion and that will be the igniting spark that will spur you to overcome procrastination and move forward
  • Focus your time and energy on only those things that you are best at and enjoy the most. Outsource all the rest! I find that I lose interest in a project when certain aspects arise that are of little interest to me - at which point I outsource them to ensure the job gets done. Elementary my dear Watson.

    • You're not lazy just not organized. Everyone here has made very good points. But the reality of it is that you don't have a plan so you attempt many different projects but lose sight of what it is you want to accomplish and end up starting something new while leaving the last project to die off due to lack of care.

      Tell me this. Do you get excited when a new opportunity is presented to? You think about how it will make your life different. You'll finally be able to do the things you want to do. You'll finally be free of the burden of all these other misfires you have had so far.

      I know this feeling well. And at times I thought that I was lazy as well. But if you think about it for a second you probably work harder than most because you are always chasing the next big thing.

      Now, it isn't totally about lacking a plan of action that has something to do with it. But like most problems in life there are multiple layers of things going on. These things combine to sabotage all that you attempt.

      Think about it, you may have money issues that has you in a state of fear wondering how your finances are going to be taken care of. Family issues that are pulling you away from doing the things you need to do to be successful. Friends that exude negativity. Bad habits that need to be broken; too much TV watching, not enough exercise, not eating properly, choosing pleasure over work.

      All of this can add to the load you are carrying and of course it will feel natural to think that you are lazy or a loser.

      I am not here to put you down or anyone that might read this because I too struggle with these issues everyday. But everyday I make a conscious effort to overcome my problems. I have processes that guide my actions everyday. To do lists, clearing clutter, carrying a notebook to keep my thoughts in one place, checklists to make sure that I have done everything that needs to be done. I don't use all of them every day but I do rely on tools like these to keep me on task.

      I find that reading some books on procrastination and productivity help in creating a solution that is specific to your situation.

      I really like this one because it has little bite size chunks on how to make yourself happier. It helps to put things into perspective.

      77 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class by Steve Siebold
      Good intro into how world class performers think and behave.

      Lifehacker.com is also a good site to visit.
