Yes, love Paul McKenna, love hypnosis

But I'm biased

Seriously though, I've read a lot of Paul's stuff over the years and heard a lot of his speaches and lectures - seriously good stuff, he knows hypnosis and the human mind, human habits, patterns of thinking inside out - he's got a fantastic way of looking at things and hes a great teacher - can really get his message across in a simple way and make people understand it.

Checkout his other videos / speaches on money mindset too.. good stuff!

I am going to share my story of how I began self-confident after years of falling flat on my face

I lacked self-confidence and i used to listen to self-confidence tapes before i had anything major . My tone of voice changed . I spoke louder and sounded more convincing

as it began to work I found that I was very concerned about listening to hypnosis tapes because i don't know what else is there .

I don't want anybody else controlling my mind

So , I stopped listening

But i was lucky . I met people who were truly confident and they didn't listen to hypnosis like i did . they always seem to go for it . Going beyond what else taught was impossible

right before my very eyes , I see them doing amazing i never dreamt was possible

Soon , I got over the idea that things were very hard and i ask them to help and they gave me some pointer and soon ,I started doing as well

People including myself were astounded at what i could do

My self-talk changed because of the results i was getting . I saw it as easy now

The same me who was very shy and reclusive

That is story of how i became truly self-confident

You didn't say what exactly give you the confidant , can you be more specific , was it the tapes or your friends ?

I've got his Confidence book (and CD) which I read last year. It's awesome and totally effective.

I've actually got it by my bedside to read it all over again.

Whether you lack in confidence or simply wish to push yourself to your full potential by claiming a little more, this guy is the real deal and his stuff works.

Change your Life in 7 Days by Paul McKenna is always a great read / listen.

  Hi, similar to many people in this thread I too have had a long journey with extremely low self-confidence to finally enjoying expressing myself to the world, confidently and lovingly. This change occured through hypnotherapy. Personally I had some really deep limiting beliefs about myself that wouldn't shift by using cds alone. So I saw a hypnotherapist for 3 sessions, and then boosted these sessions with cds. I still tap into these cds for extra inspiration, but I have to admit it was the personal one-on-one sessions where I noticed the real change.
  
  With personal sessions I noticed significant change after the first session, and then that continued to increase after the 2nd and then the 3rd. I would definitely recommend coupling some sessions to uncover your limiting core beliefs and to change them, along with the cds.

I was seeing results after the first couple of days but it all depends on each individual, and how often you listen to it. It's dabbles into your self concious, it really is a powerful technique.

Thanks for a great topic to comment on.

I believe that mediating on great advice and teaching is more beneficial to me. The reason is is that I know there is power in hypnoses and I dont want to ingrain the wrong thing into my mind.

If you research the actual benefits of hypnosis, you will not find much that can be proven. Many well know docs(Freud among others) thought hypnosis could have promise, but they all abandoned it when they could not get beneficial results.

I'm not sure what result you are looking for, but you might try the book "Creative Visualization" that combines affirmations with meditation which becomes similar to hypnosis.

I just love Paul McKenner. Unfortunately these videos are not available on Youtube due to copyright issue. I had a big problem of stammering. My confidence level was zero. I searched a lot over internet on how to get rid of it. I found some medical explanation on how to reduce my problem. But it couldn't help me to improve my confidence level. I read a lot of blogs and found few of those effective. Which helped me a lot to improve my confidence.
