Surfing some more and ran into this tonight. I love him. I find the work entailed within oneself after the realization of what he says is true, to be more challenging...he always makes me think. I struggle with not focusing on the 'how' though. Anybody else?

Exactly. Anyone can aim low and get right the first time. I think it's better to aim high and fall short than to play it safe. If we set our goals below what we are capable of, does it really feel that great when we accomplish it? If it's too easy with no challenge, what have we gained?

The only person we are cheating is ourselves.

    Thanks for sharing

I read a quote once..."You cannot tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon." I've encountered a lot of negativity when I share my dreams sometimes, so now I keep them to myself or share with those that won't 'pop' my bubble by asking me 'HOW'.

That's a shame, the people you are not telling are the ones who need it most. Share your dreams and aims not for yourself but for the person listening. I know we are all told to be stern with our goals and believe them with strong thoughts and words but maybe when we make them public we can soften the "spit back blow" by prefacing them with "Wouldn't it be cool if..." ?

Believe me, I know what it's like to have people laugh at your dreams (it sucks) but don't deny the world your big thoughts...the world needs them.

"People fail because they aim too low". Honestly, I am one of those people who always think of the HOW's and I learned from Les Brown that you just have to set goals in life and dramatically increase those goals.

When we see someone who wants to get high on drugs and he gets the drugs and gets high you just have to say he was successful in reaching the goal he set out to achieve. If he get's busted and ends up in jail and is not high, then he failed.

It seems to me that unless we have a goal or some worthwhile objective we are attempting to achieve we are not in a position to fail. If we have no where to go how can we fail to get there?

The reason why that question can even be raised here is because anyone who is writing in this forum has something they want to accomplish like, make money online or build a business using the power of the internet. In that case I think the only way a person would fail is if they "quit". Even if we haven't achieved the level of success we expected by this time, we can always get a new start or learn what stands in the way of reaching our goal.

Then why do people quit? I suspect it's generally because their reason to begin was not strong or compelling enough. Or to be more generous, maybe it's because their circumstances have changed and they no longer have the need to do business online.

People fail because they DON'T DO.

People should start doing and stop buying **** products that "teach" them.

I never paid a dime to learn anything, there are ENOUGH free resources and a stage comes in which you should stop reading and start doing.

My first sales page was ugly, and was unprofessional but - it converted on 2%. That was the gamechanger for me ... and had I read a lot and did nothing I wouldn't be here today.

    Stop reading and start DOING

I like what Randy Cage mentioned in one of his post.

He always misses his goals. But because he aims so high, even those misses gets him pretty good results in life.

Well, looking at where he is today, I guess there's some truth to it!

I like the story that it took Thomas Eddison 1000 attempts to invent a working lightbulb! And after he did, his invention lit up the world so that you can see the towns and cities from space! Imagine if he'd given up after "failing" 999 times!

People fail because they don't set specific and achievable goals.

You need to be able to stay focused on one clear direction to succeed.

Other reasons people fail is because they are have a fear of failure. What you need to do instead is start thinking positively and work towards your goal(s) in baby steps until you get there.

    You can do it!

And if people say something negative about you and you believe that you are...

    Great contribution, thanks.

One of the main reasons I see people failing, is when they jump from pillar to post without settling and becoming an expert in one particular field before moving on.

In other words, especially with IM, if we continue running from system to system, guru to guru, you end up getting nowhere fast.

The best advice I share with newcomers to IM is this:

Stop continuously buying products. Get good at one particular area and make money on it, and then, and only then start spreading your wings into other areas.

This is why everything that inspires me, everything that captures me, everything that makes my imagination light up--all of those things end up on The List.

I keep a big list. It's got about 64 items on it right now. All of the things I want to achieve, do, be, experience, they have all gone on the list. What's neat is I made the list 4 months ago and I've already knocked off 3 items on that list. So even if I died tomorrow I'd still know "I accomplished things I set out to accomplish in this life."

The List is posted on my wall, and I don't look at it every day. I don't stand in front of it repeating affirmations like they're true or anything like that. I go about my day and do my thing because he's right--how is none of my business. But I think that's very easy to misinterpret, because it doesn't let you off the hook for taking the real actions that will get you on your way, figuring out what works, and continuing to do that thing and refine that thing till your dreams are real.

I don't really agree to tell your dream anyway to everyone. It depends which people they are! I had this experience to share my dreams and when I started online marketing, on the beginning I was fast qualified, but I shared this great opportunity with someone who wanted to be my best friend who also was looking for an opportunity and I got trashed on it. The result was that my high flame inside me went down to a spark, and it took me years to get it burning again. I never would believe that one conversation can make so much damage, but it did. I think it may had to do, because I was in a mental and physical abused marriage and something just had anchor so deep into me.

So my tip is, be careful with who you share your dreams. Not everyone will agree, special watch out for the fake people they are so danger. Share your dreams with people who will inspire you and give you great tips.

When you are strong and already on the success trip than you may be able to handle other people, but as long as you just starting to get out off your box, don't let the unsuccessful people win over you. The price is too high and too much time that will be wasted until you are back up and running.

I think the most people fail in the internet marketing because they think it´s very easy and they don´t have anything to do and it takes just a few hours to get thousands of dollars (soooo we all know that the opposite is true) ... the people get angry or get desperate and they GIVE UP ... that´s the end of the story, hope you liked ;D HA HA HA, very funny ...
