The Power of alignment

The power of alignment

When your passions, roles and skills line up, you enter into an area of peace and joy not experienced before.

Most people in America are not in alignment. Their roles (what they do on a day to day basis) do not match their passions and dreams. Doing what you love enables you to work harder but feel like you're doing less.

But often you can't immediately step into your passion There is a thing I call the process.

The process starts when you wake up to the reality that there's a dream hidden in you, a passion that's crying out to be released. Find your dream, your vision, your passion it's already inside of you...most likely buried under a lot of can'ts and shouldn'ts.

Take some time today, get quiet and still (leave your phone off) and listen.

What would you like to do day in and day out? What gets you excited? Where would you work? Where would you live? Push aside the can'ts and shoudln'ts and just dream. Who would you be with? What time would you wake up? Be detailed, have fun. This is the beginning of the process.

The next step of the process is learning to embrace..not resent...the trials and difficulties that prepare you to fulfill your dream. More on that later....

Do you have a dream? Are you living it? Are you in the process?

A reason peoples roles are not lined up with their passion is a lot of people are in survival mode, reacting to the common theme that is occurring in their environment. If everyone is freaking out about job losses and gloomy forecasting, their priority becomes comfort and familiarity because when everything is up in the air, this is something (their roles) they can cling onto.

Going for your dreams, discovering their passion is exciting, but it is also highly risky; uncertainty and the threat that what they see as a passion can become a hindrence if success does not come quick. If they are exposed to a lot of things in their daily life that they perceive as threat (job losses, increased expenses, foreclosures) the decision to follow their dream can be seen as too much of a risk.

It can be done and normally requires someone having counter examples for the norm (I left my job during the recession because I had a lot of examples of people doing well during the recession), a support unit who they trust to comfort them when they fu@k up and someone to help guide them when they go off course (a coach, mentor, accountability partner).

Every person has some inborn passion but he ignores it facing the reality of life.A time comes when he becomes unable to even recognize it.Yes, it pops up in his silent hours but then he discards the ideas of being unrealistic and impractical for winning a bread. But "when there is a will there is a way". The person who Listens to the inner voice and searches the way to fulfill the dreams inspite of discarding the ideas only becomes able to live his dreams.

I do have a dream. I am not living it yet.

I think flow is one word that somewhat might some sum up what you are talking about. Flow!
