Something to Reflect On When It Comes to Success!

"When prizefighter James Corbett was asked what it takes to become a champion he replied, "Fight one more round." Study the lives of those you most admire and you'll discover they spent years surmounting obstacles, facing their deepest fears, learning from repeated failures, rising above the predictions of those who said, "You'll never make it." If you're looking for a neat, clean, respectable, no-loose-ends formula to success, forget it. Success is sweat, perspective and dirt under your finger nails. It's discipline, commitment and a long-distance fuel. It's having the tenacious bulldog quality that no matter what the cost, all that matters, is victory. It's knowing that with every victory, you are one more step closer to success. Success is not given, it's earned. It's earned by every sacrifice we make, every hour of time we spend each day, it is earned by risking everything we have without knowing the outcome. In life and on the court, the bigger the risk we take, the bigger the reward. Without risks, there is no success. We can never receive true success without first understanding it was all of our true failures that helped us earn our true success. So many people spend their entire childhood or young adult lives struggling for success. When it's your time to receive your true success, will you be ready? Your true success will not be handed to you at the end of your journey, you will have to reach out and take it. Are you ready to fight for success knowing that you might not get back up? If so, then you are willing to succeed. Don't be discouraged if your dream hasn't come true, keep pursuing. Success always goes to the man who is willing to fight." -Ryan Appleby

Enjoy. And good luck to everything!

The last few reps are the most important.

      Exactly...

All the reps and sets you do for a particular exercise are just a warm up for the very last rep you happen to do (which should usually be done to failure).

You fatigue yourself, push yourself further and further until you fail. Next time, you won't fail when it comes to that particular stage in the exercise (applies to many disciplines).

It only hurts for a little bit, and won't hurt as much the next time. Plus, it hurts worse not finishing.

"Go the extra mile" Do what others are not willing to do or are too lazy to do. That way you will truly set yourself apart from the others.

From Paramahansa Yogananda's "The Law of Success":

    Failures Should Arouse Determination

The season of failure is the best time for sowing the seeds of success. The bludgeon of circumstances may bruise you, but keep your head erect. Always try once more, no matter how many times you have failed. Fight when you think you can fight no longer, or when you think that you have already done your best, or until your efforts are crowned with success. A little story will make this point clear.

A and B were fighting. After a long time A said to himself: "I cannot go on any longer." But B thought: "Just one more punch," and he gave it, and down went A.
You must be like that: give a last punch. Use the unconquerable power of will to overcome all difficulties in life.

The successful person may have had more serious difficulties to contend with than the one who has failed, but the former trains himself to reject the thought of failure at all times. You should transfer your attention from failure to success, from worry to calmness, from mental wanderings to concentration, from restlessness to peace, and from peace to the divine bliss within.
