A quick technique to reduce your fear

Hi guys,

Here's a little something for all of you who are stuck in fear and thus procrastinating. I know what it's like to feel 'paralyzed' so I made a little video of a technique that can benefit everyone here. In less than 10 minutes, you may feel much more resourceful and may have an easier time taking action. And I can assure you that you can all do this, because we do it everyday: It's a breathing technique

The instructions for the technique begins at the 3:00 mark, and the actual technique begins at 4:22, but make sure you watch from the beginning:


Note - You must actively participate in order to reap the benefits of applying the technique. If you just watch it, you'll likely get bored.

    Focus on the physical location of the fear in your body and realize that although the feeling is uncomfortable, it is just a feeling that has no real power over you. When you focus your attention on the fear for 30 minutes, it will begin to dissolve. You will be able to think of the mental image, and the fear will have diminished considerably, if not altogether. This meditation is very powerful and does really work. Consider including a morning and evening 30 minute Lower Self Meditation daily for 30 days and you will be amazed at the results.

      Thanks for sharing! What you describe is something similar to what I already do

      It often seems strange to people that when you just observe the feeling, it will fade, but I noticed the act of suppressing (i.e. running from it) is what often keeps it in place. By merely observing the fear, it eventually goes away. Breathing, I find, just makes it easier and faster.

    Jason - excellent video. I appreciate that you posted it here. As I went thru the technique I did find the breathing to be much too fast. I simply went at my own pace and this worked very nicely. Thanks.

    Thanks for this info. I've also found that EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) can help with sudden, acute fear. There are a number of internet sites describing this simple technique.

      Yes, I've gotten excellent results with EFT, but I noticed one major issue with EFT is when we try to make a feeling go away, it just gets stronger. And quite often it's easy to get stuck as a result.

      Plus I figured breathing would work well since it's SO easy to do

    Cool video, i love this stuff.

    Another way is to take 3 deep breaths while clenching your fists and body as tight as possible. Then release and take 3 deep breaths again. Repeat these two steps one more time and you'll be good to go.

    I'm glad it helped, and sorry for the small font size lol

    Breathing is a quick way to get 'out of your head' and to be more present.

    I would actually recommend doing this exact exercise a bit slower

    This is a really interesting technique. I think it would be incredibly useful in helping use the Law of Attraction when you need to get rid of negative emotions like fear. I'm going to try this out then hopefully write an article about my experience with it on my website.

    Thank you for sharing Jason, I am a big fan of simple techniques that can make an immediate difference and bring one back into a functional state of mind - and breathwork combined with awareness is very high on my list of what really works.

    I can most highly recommend y'all to actually follow Jason's instructions and save the video/ thread to come back to anytime you're stuck. It works.
