Happiness Tipping Point... $50k?

This is Mohul Ghosh from India. I am an Online Marketer and Writer, doing a 9-5 job in New Delhi.
I always wondered what is the minimum amount of money which can make a person happy and satisfied.. And well, I just found out the answer. Apparently.
In a recent study by Marist Poll, it has been found that an American who is earning $50k is more likely to be satisfied and happy compared to an American who is earning less than $50k. As I am planning to settle down in either US or Canada in next two years, I guess this is an important bit of information.
