It's Not What You Do, But HOW You Do It!

These days everybody and their brother are trying to make a living online.

And statistically, most people fail to even achieve the low end of their financial goals.

Here's the deal:

Your mindset determines your actions.

So if you're trying to make money, you aren't placing your attention on the most important aspect of manifesting financial freedom...

...You aren't focusing on HELPING people with your SOLUTION (i.e. the product or service you're selling.)

This is one of the most common mistakes made by newbie AND veteran entrepreneurs alike.

The more you chase the money, the longer you're going to continue chasing the money.

However...

If you can adjust your mindset to revealing a hundred different ways to HELP people, I promise that when you sit down to write your sales copy and perform your regular marketing tasks, it'll FEEL different.

Because just like the old adage goes: "It's not what you do, but how you do it..."

Just by shifting your attention to genuinely wanting to create a major positive impact in people's lives, you WILL begin creating the kind of abundance worthy of your valuable time.

That being said...

When you make that shift of consciousness...

...It might change WHAT you're marketing and even WHO you're marketing to.

Maybe you've been pitching the wrong product - just so you can make money?

Maybe you've been approaching selling the RIGHT product from the WRONG (or emotionally ineffective) perspective?

Maybe you've been going 'round and 'round inside of your own head because you're trying to act like other marketers, instead of bringing to the forefront all the unique assets that only YOU bring to the table?

The point is...

RIGHT NOW is an amazing time to make money online...

...because they are more problems to solve than ever.

But...

You have to be willing to immerse yourself in the endless question of: HOW CAN I HELP PEOPLE WITH MY SOLUTION??!?!

When you can do that; when you can isolate the emotions your target audience is feeling and animate the possibilities they could experience with your SOLUTION, the money will come absolutely pouring in!

Mark Pescetti

P.S. STOP paying attention to the competition. Focus on YOUR assets, tools, perspectives and desire to help people. It doesn't matter what anyone else in your market is doing. As long as your intentions are sincere and your ATTENTION is ALWAYS focused on HELPING people, the amount of prosperity you will manifest is gonna BLOW YOUR MIND!

P.P.S. Sorry, I have the flu - so don't pay any attention to how crappy I look...

Good point. If you think people are jerks and you only see them as a paycheck, then that will be reflected in your writing. However, when you offer a quality product or service and you really want to help folks solve their problems, then that will be reflected in your writing as well.

    Nice post dude.

Definitely. That mind-set shift makes all the difference.

I agree, if the only thought you have in your mind is how much money you are going to make, it completely stifles your creativity.

Changing your perspective, adjusting your focus to "what can I do to help others", thinking about how many ways a product will benefit someone else - this is how to make your ideas flow freely. The money you make from the ideas will become just an added bonus, the "gravy" if you will.

    Thanks for the post!

      Hey Chloe!

      Exactly!

When you've demonstrated you deeply understand what your audience is experiencing, what they want and HOW your solution can help get them there...

...the energy of selling takes on an entirely different vibration.

Chasing money tends to be extremely cerebral.

But becoming aware of and animating the benefits your solutions creates in people's lives is an emotional... and even spiritual process.

You need to know what your audience is FEELING... and WHY.

Then take those emotions and communicate the light at the end of the tunnel.

If people resonate with your message, you'll make a ton of money... and feel higher than a kite because you're HELPING so many people.

When people chase the money, they sabotage their deepest desires.

Money chasers very often also perpetuate the stereotype that selling is cheesy, slimy and lacks integrity.

I'd go one step further and say it's "how your feel". Emotions are the key. Feel bad, that's what you'll get. But feel joy and positivity about your business and your whole world opens up.

      The irony is...

...quick money is usually NO MONEY!

I talked to a woman this morning, before playing some tennis, who was inspired by how effortlessly she perceived I make money.

I told her the financial return wasn't even in my mind when I developed my initial products.

It was like a channeling process.

I had to keep up with the amount of information that was coming through me.

When the money started pouring in, I was so incredibly appreciative.

Honestly though, when the orders started coming in, I never expected they would keep flowing all of these years later.

      The problem is...

She was inspired by the monetary potential; not WHERE my attention was focused when I created the products and followed my inspiration to put them out there.

I used the line from this post, it's not what you do, but how you do it...

...and helped her align her intentions with her attention.

When I was done playing tennis, she had left a message on my voicemail telling me how much writing she got done.

More than she ever produced in such a short amount of time.

All because she shifted her attention from making money to becoming clear on her vision and getting excited about helping people.

      So simple, right?

That is so true! The times in my life that money just came to me were when I had lost my emotional attachment to the dollars. I was using "it" to bless others that I had hired and giving back to the community.

As I loosen my grip the flow is open. When I worry about the money and don't want to spread it around, the flow slows down.

I remember having a moment last year when I realized that I had lost my old emotional attachment to the money. It was as if I was a channel for more blessings. That's how I see outsourcing and hiring workers around my home.

Exactly Mindset is the one thing that most of us take it for granted. As you rightly said, all our ACTIONS are based on our mindset and ACTION are those that take us to success. Thanks for the great share!

  • Thanks for this. I have been struggling with where to focus my time and energy for the past few months. I decided to come to the Warrior Forum for an hour to spark some ideas and see what I connect to that is being written. I enjoyed this post but really enjoyed the post on - What I'd Say IF I Were Barack Obama on your blog. You can check out my response there.

This is honestly my secret to success in sales. Pinpoint the problem that is causing them pain. Remind them of it (hot button). Offer the solution.

Just help people. That gives sales a good name.

    Great Post Mark!

Reminds me of Zig Ziglar's quote... "If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want"

    Cheers,
