Does honesty guarantees success

Some people don't commit dishonesty because they are afraid or may be they are really honest. But is it true and guaranteed that if you are honest, you'll be successful? I've seen people manipulate and deceive others and make money. While some honest people die in poverty.
What I actually observe is that all the rich people are doing many things wrong and may be violating others right. But who cares? They are just rich.
I mean being only honest is not enough. You should move smart also.

I think honesty guarantees success. You never know if the actions of the deceitful will come back to haunt them later in life. Karma comes back in many different forms.

If you are already rich, they dishonesty will suit you or find you. But if you are facing poverty then honesty will choose you or you will choose honesty.. I am honest but also I am poor and I don't want to be dishonest.

For the most part super successful people have great deal of integrity - but in their own way - others may not understand their way of judging.

Being honest and having high standards sustains your self esteem, and self-esteem is the bedrock of success.

      Hi opportunist86,

      I agree with stevendomz.

Integrity is the essence of everything successful!

If you wish to build a long and continuous relationship with people that you interact with in life, I would suggest you to be true and genuine to each and every one of them.

When they know that you have no ulterior motives, they will tend to respect and stay with you.

Have you heard of any companies that can last doing dishonest stuff?

Hope this answers your question. ^^

Honesty is one ingredient to success. There are honest people who die poor because in their hearts they might believe they aren't worthy of success or maybe they believe that only evil people have money. Limiting beliefs block success for them.

As for rich people who are dishonest, there are always consequences for whatever we do, good or otherwise. Don't think for a minute that ANYONE gets away with anything. We all reap what we sow, it just might not be obvious to the population at large.

There are very few guaranties in life. Neither honesty or success fit in that category.

    Dishonesty - Short Term Success
    Honesty/Integrity - Long Term Success

Plain and simple. You decide which one sounds better.

This is the thing I'm not sure about. I usually see people who have always been honest but seem to be suffering with poverty.

I saw a presentation about this not too long ago the premise was that some companies attempt to appear larger or something than they are. The speakers position was that honesty wins all the time, the audience was not 100% in agreement, some felt they would lose sales if it was touted they were a one man shop.

In a sense, you are right. But, what will be your feelings, when after gathering a great fortune by dishonesty, one day your child ask you, "dad, you are a dishonest person?". Thats the thing, honesty can give you the mental satisfaction and relief for all over the life. Hope for a honest life.

I don't think one has anything to do with the other? A LOT of dishonest people have become very successful in humanity and a LOT of honest people have stayed or become very unsuccessful in humanity. There are NO guarantee's in life, period.
