As we all know the biggest (and probably the only) obstacle in not succeeding is inside us. We sabotage ourselves, because deep down there we only want to be secure. And, for our subconscious mind being successful may somehow mean quite the opposite.

One way is to change the beliefs, but it's quite tricky, and may take a lot of time. A lot easier would be to convince the subconscious mind that our security depends on our success. That way it would not only quit sabotaging our striving, but on the contrary, will begin to help us in great ways. Wouldn't it be wonderful?

One way that would convince it would be if we got beaten every time we do not succeed. Seriously beaten on the back, like we see it in movies. Bodily pain is directly connected to the security mechanism of the subconscious. Of course, we cannot expect--nor would we like it--that someone would commit to this undertaking. But, what about a machine?!

What about a machine that would stand in the corner like an exercise machine--waiting to be used in the case of need? Would you be willing to use such a thing if your success really depended on it? Do you want success strongly enough?

Looking for a good beatin, are ya

I think we beat ourselves up enough without needing a machine to do it for us.
I have always been one to go for the positive aspect of things.
Instead of always tellinig a child what they cannot do, how about telling them what they can do and how well they are doing it?

You have to realize, success is not an end, but an adventure to be lived.
Perceived failure is not really failure, but rather it is learning. Should you be beat for learning?

No, I believe life is tough enough without some threatening machine standing over my shoulder, ready to beat me when I decide to slack off a bit. Besides, most of us already have one of those, it's called an exercise machine.

    Have a wonderful night!

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will. – Vince Lambardi
