Love reading. But remember, the best thing is to take action and ACT on the knowledge you gain from a book.

Anyways, I just picked up the 4 Hour Chef. Diggin it so far.

Also The Education of Millionaires by Michael Ellsberg is great too!

I really like "Loving What Is" by Byron Katie. It isn't about making money, but about how to look at yourself and let go of your assumptions that cause negative emotions. There is an interesting dialogue in the book with a guy who lost a lot of money in the stock market and blames his uncle. She gets him to see his own limiting thoughts that hold him back. It's a very good book to let go of blame ways of perceiving that get in the way each day.

I like unlimited power, wasn't expecting as much science in it when I read through though. Still good. I mentioned in another "favorite book" thread the other day that I REALLY like The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John C. Maxwell.

Unlimited Power was the first self-help/psychology book I ever read. I then moved on to books by the guys who taught Tony Robbins, Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

I was disappointed by Awaken the Giant Within - it's very derivative, covering a lot of the same material that others like Brian Tracy, Dale Carnegie and so on had covered.

Although I've read a lot of Hypnosis and NLP books, as they're my passion, my favourite book would be anything by Robin Sharma and especially his "The Monk Who Sold His Ferarri.

I highly recommend The Man Made Prison by Mateo Tabatabai and also, Instantly Calm by Angela Marks. Two exceptional reads!!

Two perfect books for today's hectic lifestyles. The information in both of these books is motivating, relatable, entertaining and inspiring. And yet both authors get right to the point. Which is what I like. Nobody likes a read that drags.

  The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles is my favorite. If you google it there are tons of free copies circulating. I've also found audio-book versions as well.
  
  I've read all the classics when it comes to having a wealth building mindset. This was one of the first ones that got things really to click for me. I highly recommend it!

I must say that the one book that created the quickest and most measurable actions was The 4-hour Workweek. I was in a place in my life when I read it, that I was very receptive to what I read and immediately went to work.

Some of my other personal favorites are:
From Panic to Power -Lucinda Bassett
Psycho Cybernetics -Maxwell Maltz
E-myth Revisited -Michael E. Gerber
Courage to Surrender -Tommy Hellsten
(This book is a non-stop mind blow. If you can find it, read it.)

Great thread! Since joining the worlf of personal development I too have come to love reading!

I have had the priviledge of getting through several amazing books throughout the past year or so, although there are two or three that have really stood out as clear favourites!

1. The Alchemist (Paolo Coelho)
2. Psycho Cybernetics (Maxwell Martz)
3. Creating a Bug Free Mind (Andy Shaw)

I must say, that I am currently in the process of reading 'Creating a Bug Free Mind' by Andy Shaw and am thoroughly enjoying it at the moment!

I strongly reccomend anyone reading this read (if they haven't read it already) to read this life changing book!

  I have heard good things about the science of getting rich, also on my list is a biography of the guy who founded walmart. Thats meant to be a good one.
  
  It's hard to choose one book but if I had to choose a favorite it would be awaken the giant within.

I would say that it is too difficult to choose one, especially with the fact that I read 3 to 5 books per week, but here are a few of my favorites:

Success Principles by Jack Canfield
Dying to Be Me by Anti Moorjani
The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale
See You at the Top by Zig Ziglar
Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton

"Sam Walton: Made In America" is the best book I read this year. Very motivating and impressive how he built Wal-Mart into the largest retailer in the world out of an idea. The book is about 20 years old, but many of the concepts still apply today. Even to an Internet business.
