In the past year, I've had a lot of ups and downs, both in my online endeavors and in my personal life.

I was told today that it doesn't seem like I'm inspired; that I just live each day just enough to get to the next day. And you know what, the person that told me that was speaking nothing but the truth.

And so I started asking myself...what am I inspired by?

I thought I would be able to answer this question easily...I was wrong...and it really hurt.

I would really like to get some input from a community I have come to love and have respect for.

What inspires you?

People who have hit rock bottom and dug themselves out with hard work...

I think these types of stories are the most inspiring.

Yeah those types of stories are the really appealing ones to hear and learn about. Also the people who just refuse to quit and give up are also the inspirational stories to read about.

Yeah. Same. I love reading about those kind of stories too. : )

      Hi, jordan08!

Thank you for asking the question. I quoted rich because I have found the same to be true.

Great that you are working on this question - it is fundamental to life and business, yet so many people ignore it and chug along hating their jobs and hating life...despite the fact that it is totally within their control to change.

    For me, inspiration comes from

    1. Music...I get a kick out of playing, performing and teaching - in order to fund my passion I help share my inspiration and teaching with others through a blog that more than pays my way in this area (not my main business, but one that allows me to live out my passion in this area of my life)

    2. Helping others change their lives - this has only become possible after some life changing occurrences in my own life back nearly 20-years ago that I can now share with others to help them get on the right track

    3. I am inspired by putting myself in a position where I control my time, creative energy, emotional investment and financial return...that inspires me to lead the way each day I wake up.

I get inspired by traveling around and seeing what other people's lives are like. It gives me a huge sense of perspective and reminds me how lucky I am to have so much.

When you see people who are much less fortunate but still work their asses off, all while maintaining a good attitude on life, it really inspires me to work harder and take less for granted.

I regularly try new systems to make money.
Therefore whenever i think a particular system is more profitable and interesting,it always gives me more inspiration to work and earn more online.
So the main point is you should always try new things to do it by heart.

I am inspired by people who just keep on trying despite many failures that they face. From somewhere that I have read, Michael Jordan has missed 300 important shots but he is still able to become successful because he keep on trying. He really faces tons of failure before he is able to achieve the results that he is getting.

Working with young people who have had a really tough start and watching them achieve things really inspires me, and it keeps me grateful for what I do have.

Getting outside and spending time in nature - helps me keep it all in perspective and remember how small I (and my worries) really are.

Hearing about people who help others, like that post yesterday about the guy who offered the young man a job when he was walking in the snow to a job intervew. I find sometimes the news just seems filled with misery and I need reminding that there are still lots of great people doing good things everyday.

I read about that guy who offered the young man a job making double what he would have made if he had gotten the job he was going to interview for...yeah, that's good stuff!

Actually, it was my love of gem and fossil hunting that inspired my website - and in turn, now my members inspire me. We just have a great time together - online, and as of this summer, offline, too. I'm inspired to write about some subjects, because I feel a deep interest in them and feel that it's important for others to know about them, too. By selling those products, I hope to amass enough disposable income to turn back to my favorite hobby - listed above, and produce a brick and mortar aspect or two for my rock and gem website.

If you treat everything in your life as a package with a string attached - you can start connecting those strings and making a bow that ties everything together all nice and pretty. Now you can be inspired by the pretty bow. LOL.

      Hi
It seems that you draw inspiration from the members of this forum. This is heartening for me, because I have just begun to participate in WF although I have been aware of the forum for several years.

      I noticed your comment that
I just live each day just enough to get to the next day.
As we journey through our personal "valleys", I find that it is essential to keep moving. As long as we don't stop, we will get through the valley eventually, and reach the next mountain top.

      Best regards,
      Robert

The biggest thing in IM that inspires me and pushes me to keep trying is that I know eventually it will lead to me living the totally free life that I want, not having to be at work at a certain time, traveling wherever whenever, and most of all being in total control of your own life.

I recommend for subscribing to great motivational speakers, eg: Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, T Harv Eker, etc... You can find them on G+, Facebook, Youtube! I always look for videos from these guys.

And also recommended to watch an inspirational movie, or read a book, there are many great stories fuel for heart.

I inspire myself. When I complete a big job, I feel so good and that inspires me to do more. My family also inspires me as well. I want to be able to do as good of a job for them as I can and so I work super hard to do so.

Inspiration is one thing and Motivation is yet another.

Inspiration as in watching children play and grow up before your very eyes, reading a biography, listening to a success story, or hearing a good message.

Motivation is having a "clear" though out "vision" in your "subconcious" of something that has yet to be manifested in the physical realm, but is very much real in your mind.

You constantly replay this over and over in your subconcious. See your subconcious does not know the difference between what is real or false and will move Heaven and Earth to manifest whatever you "play" there.

Think of your subconcious as a Movie Theater and your the only one in the entire room. You write the script, you direct, you produce and you are the lead actor. You decide what will play on the screen in front of you.

From "You Were Born Rich", by Bob Proctor.

    Just my take

    - My family & friends inspires me a lot. But of course the people who help me maintaining my business. Because without their help, I cannot do this on my own, and without them, I’m lost. Because in my work, inspiration is a big help to give me more ideas to improve it.

They are two different people.. Yet they are perfect.. They do say opposites attract.. And my parents proved it.
They inspire me because the yshowed me how in every struggle their is an answer, they taught me to smile and it will all be ok.
