Stick with what you know already. Search the forms for wants and needs that you can use your skills on now. Fill those needs and sell them. Copy writing skills are very high on the list of things to know when dealing on the web or selling anything anywhere.

Hey it's been a while since I've posted on Warrior because I've been really busy but here's what the best bet is.

FIND A PROVEN FORMULA THAT MAKES MONEY AND REPLICATE IT.

That's it. Forget about EVERYTHING else. Just find someone you trust and make sure you find a complete package that you can build an online business with and you'll be way ahead of a lot of people.

Were do you get these proven formulars? All i see on the internet is hyped up junk from so called guru's. How do you know if someone has got a legitimate formula to follow?

Two words for newcomers, "information overload". There is so much information available you don't know where to start and what to do. Most jump from program to program with little success. They have the "get rich quick" mindset. You have to look at as your business. To be successful you need to grow your business.

Decide on a niche you are interested in. Get a website up offering something of value. Learn some free traffic techniques.

If I would have started out this way a few years back, I would be so much further ahead.

You can start off by selling your skills on sites such as Odesk. Elance, G.A.F. That should get you some nice money for the time being.

The problem for new people is they need an exact roadmap not a general never give up statement. For me it was simple I wrote an ebook and sold it with free classified sites, like craigslist and backpages. It was hosted on payloadz, which is also free.

I did not even have a website or blog. It in fact is a simple business model that works and allows new people to generate cash right into a paypal account the day the ebook is live. The only caveat is that you have to be able to write something of value.

It starts with Integrity. That ensures correct Vision, from which come the only effective goals. If these are in focus and in proper organization, the motivation does come... )even if it takes and hour or two to wake up in the morning).

Integrity is the #1 most commonly shared character trait of the truly successful.

  • My humble advice is:

    1. Learn.
Forums are a good place to start... Read, add to discussion, find out useful information and meet people... There are useful blogs too, depending on the way you want to earn money.

    2. Trial and error
Make a small blog to learn the basics. Try constantly, make a few more sites, and learn from mistakes...

Chris, if you already have some web design skills what you need to do is to start marketing yourself in the Warrior Forum, Digital Point, as well as the other freelance sites.

You need to adopt a very determined and positive mindset so that you'll consistently market yourself and reach out to as many people as possible. This is the real key to being successful in the IM services arena - there are plenty of good web designers out there who are broke because they think work will just mysteriously pour in and land on their laps! In the beginning, you really have to hustle and be aggressive in marketing your services.

I've found since working on my own products...which are about to be released, that when I feel in a fog or don't know where to start I just muscle through and work on it, right or wrong. Then the fog lifts and it really was mist.

We all started as a newbie. We all went through what you are.

Web design skills are huge man.... Plenty of people in the affiliate marketing industry can bank without them, but its definitely a great resource to have. You have to start somewhere though and like jimmack said, we were all noobies at once.

Your first goal right now, should be to sign up with an affiliate network if you haven't already. There are plenty of networks to choose from, so don't limit yourself. Some networks I've had good experiences with are Media Trust, EWA Network, Azoogle, A4D, Copeac, and Clickbank. Now, you might not get accepted to these some of these networks right away. But that's okay, sometimes it just takes time. After you apply, they are more than likely going to give you a call, and make sure you are legit. They'll ask you questions like what is experience with IM? How do you promote products (SEO or PPC)?, What niches do you promote? etc....

Okay, so now let's say you made it into a network. It's to get down to work now, and find some offers you'd like to promote. You're not going to know what works and what doesn't until you try it.

Let's say you choose the offer "get ripped like a monster" (this is just an example lol). The first thing I would do, is put together a nice little WP site. I've had great success with review/ informational sites when it comes to supplements. Next thing would be to get some USEFUL AND UNIQUE content on the website that people will find interesting and beneficial. You're goal is to turn people that your website into customer or potential customers.

There's a bunch of things that you will learn once you decide to take the dive, but hopefully my short/little outline to get started will help

      Best of luck!

I agree with the others. Start with affiliate marketing since you won't need to create your own products.

Then use your spare time to create your own.

But more than anything else, spend more time doing! You won't get anywhere if all you do is research. Throw some spaghetti at the wall and see if it sticks! If it does, great! If not, find something else! Just DO!
