What Great Thing Would You Attempt If You Knew You Could Not Fail?

"What Great Thing Would You Attempt If You Knew You Could Not Fail?" is attributed to Robert H. Shuller.

I read it decades ago, and always thought it was a powerful question.

Anyone care to share what they would go for?

    I actually have a few.

    Business:

    1. I would open a Theme Park. Maybe even have multiple theme parks

    2. I would start a Comic Book company that focused on better use of cannon. Retcon is stupid as is the way DC and Marvel treat their universes. I believe a company could do better.

    3. Open and Exotic/Collectable car dealership & rental company.

    4. Start a car manufacturer

    Politics:

    5. Run for President on a moderate Libertarian Platform and reform the US government to promote smaller government and business competition & growth.

Being President wouldn't be fun but if I could not fail I would owe it to my children and grandchildren to do it.

I actually have a few others especially in business but I think I have too many on this list and those are more easily achieved.

Are you coming on to me?

      What do you mean, exactly?

I would like to see a comic company that created a universe that flowed forward. Where they tried to keep the universe in order.

Comics don't keep fans because we all know that whatever we read last year could be ignored because some big name wants to take away spider-man's marriage or turn his powers into some spider totem mystic crap. using the worst offender I can think of)

          I get it.

By the way, one of the biggest marketing promotions I ever saw was when they Killed Superman. National news coverage (yup, I'm not kidding), a year of continuity across 5 or 6 comics (meaning you had to collect them all to get the story), and a glut of copies on the market from collectors looking to cash in.

Every time the comic is "re-envisioned", it means a new surge in sales, at least for a couple of issues.

I don't read comics that much anymore, but I think the stories are epic.

Darn, that was my first thought, only I would go back in time not forward.

        In all seriousness though,

I would if I could not fail,

Fabricate and build a shuttle spacecraft that could carry 100 passengers and do weekly space trips for the poor, un-wealthy, and middle class Americans like you and me .

I get so sick of hearing how the rich get this and the rich get that, its time to help out the little guy or the people that never get away from the rat race.

That's just what I would want to do.

I met an astronaut when I was 6 and ever since have wanted to go to the moon.

Since the NBA Playoffs just started, and I am a 54 yr. old white guy, I will go with dunk from the foul line.

Hit the road with my piano and a 1950's show playing Great Balls Of Fire (which I can play).

Build another authority site and monetize it with Google Adsense earning over $100K a year. I have no confidence in Google so that would be stretch as well.
