Why Self Improvement Techniques Don't Work For Me?

If you have been using a system such as LOA, Meditation, Yoga,
Visualization, Hypnosis etc. and you feel that you are not getting the
results you expected from the system. You have to stop what you are
doing and do something else.

There is nothing magical about systems. They are just tools. The
results will be based on how much your belief system resonate with the
tool your are using. Every time you use a system and the results are
not what you expected, you are creating a new negative belief system
about the self improvement system which is going to make it harder and
you loose faith and give up. This is the reason why a given self
improvement system or technique works for some not for others.

So, if you feel the self improvement system you are using is working
for others and not for you, stop using the system and take a closer
look at your current belief system. Try something different and
see if you can transform your belief system.

It is not the actual system that will perform the "magic", it is your state of being (the total sum of your beliefs, thoughts and emotions) that will define what you can achieve.

All systems have the potential to work, but they only act as permission slips. If you are convinced that System A is absolutely amazing and that it will allow you to achieve whatever you want, you will probably get what you want (as long as you don't sabotage yourself on any level).

But it is not the "magical" System A that allows you to achieve your goals it is your state of being, but the system may help you to get into a state of belief, trust, letting go...

I agree with you. It is the state of belief that you have to look at. Self improvement systems are just tools. The self improvement/transformation will not take place until and unless there is a change in your belief system, no matter what self improvement system you use. Just don't follow a system blindly that does not take you where you want to go. 't We should not be afraid to try something different.

Good point and i would like to add that most people i know who complaint about something not working for them are not really willing to take action.

Guys it takes hard work to get out of your comfort zone and take consistent action.

You will see results if you do it

    Cheers,

    Gary

I second what Gary said. The best work comes with work boots on and has patience, allowance and non-attachment as support tools.

Self Improvement starts from deep within yourself.
If the system works for others and not you.
Then you need to look in the mirror.
"The person who says they can and the person that says they can't are both usually right".
    It comes down to BELIEF.
In yourself, your chosen field, your system.
Whatever you are doing is nothing without your wholehearted belief to carry it through.

    To quote Mahatma Ghandi
    "your belief's become your thoughts"
    "Your thoughts become your words"
    "Your words become your actions"
    "Your actions become your habits"
    "Your habits become your values"
    "Your values become your destiny"
    CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY

    onwards and upwards to success

  • I can understand why a person's well developed belief system can trump any particular self help system.

And, if a person is employing any self help system that is not working for them it is very important to dig deep into understanding the current belief system one has as a means of seeing the world and interpreting results. If that system is at odds with success something else needs to happen to change that view. Otherwise the going will be deeply frustrating and continue to end in poor results.

I believe I failed before and I see many people failing and losing belief in self-improvement systems is because they are over optimistic and over confident in their promises than actions.

In my opinion, what works is " Take one thing you need to change and belt it ! "

What is at this moment working for me is

following the one thing - fitness

I loved this statement by Robin Sharma

" Remember that when you transform your fitness, you'll transform your business"

Let us face it guys - It's difficult to change the entire F.....G BELIEF System at once ! Isn't it ?

This talk falls in line too .... Enjoy,

Rather than self defeating promises, thoughts or actions,
Choose just One thing and Win !

    That's true.

Albert Einstein said that insanity is 'doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.'
