Does anyone know about the article wherein life was compared to a surfer? and it goes like a surfer knows that he/she will fall eventually so what if we knew that we are bound to fail. Like how would we act if we know that

Please link me to the article

Thanks

we live in an age anda time where the riskiest thing is to have a job with a paycheck.. that you need .

the more of your personal well being you put in sources outside yourself .. the bigger risk you take .

he key is risk management .. not blindly taking risks .. without thinking you are taking a risk

So true man, the 9-5 is safe, but for how long? Not to mention the headaches, this is exactly why so many are underpaid and we have a huge federal deficit, not enough people taking charge and forging their own businesses.

its not about money ..the government sees the money you have as money that is not your money..but just what it has not figured out some way to take from you yet ..in their eyes we are taxpayers or consumers .

just other ways of saying slave . as the government spend more and more money..and looks for ways to take more and more of the money you make from you .

the biggest risk for anyone is to stay dependent on what they can buy money ..food from the big store and power from the grid..which are both going up every year so you have to earn more just to have the same .

if someone can they need to get a place with enough land they can put in a garden or a greenhouse ..and produce as much of their basic food as possible..learn to cook can and preserve it .

then there is buying solar panels or even getting a thermal exchange system to heat and cool the house ..and a solar oven to cook ..a solar hot water heater .. whatever.

we live in a time and a world where doing thing the way you did them prior to 4 years ago..ways that where safe ..are the riskiest things you can do .

Live as if today is your last day.

We have no guarantee that we will be alive tomorrow.

If you don't take risks, you will remain where you are now for the rest of your life

it is much much easier to live today the longer your perspective of the future is and if you know what you can do today to get you there.

Taking risks is something that is generally people avoid, cause we all fear failure. But also avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.

risk is basically getting out of our comfort zone.
Risk is beautiful just like change

  • If we knew we were going to fail no matter what, we probably would not go through with the project.

On the other hand there might be those out there who would sense this one unavoidable failure is only the first step in perhaps many other adventures to come. BUT, . . . there are bound to be many grand successes along the way as well. And the unspoken guarantee that "if you participate" you will receive it all, good & bad, still stands.

It's the play of the opposites that can give the participant a roller coaster ride of his life. Hey, but why not? Life is for living!

I was actually reading something about Bill Bartman today who was at one time 25th richest man in America.

He said the secret to success was to take risks, but people are afraid to take risks because they are afraid to fail. The reason people are afraid to fail is because they care about what other people think of them. The way to stop caring about what other people think is to raise your self esteem.

That's not an exact quote but that was the general idea of what he was saying.

One way of building up your self esteem when first starting out is to set ridiculously easy goals, im talking like $1 easy.

Thank you and sorry I wasn't able to stay active on my thread. The past few week were really busy for me so didn't get to check back and reply.
