Simple Is As Simple Does, . . . About Time

When was the last time you seriously looked at slimming down and simplifying your work space, work itself, your household routine, even your recreational moments.

Like dieters looking to spare calories, it is possible to extricate many minutes of time every day from practically every responsibility needing attention. Perhaps your work space needs clutter cleaning and a more efficient arrangement of your office. Simplification here will help to assure saved time expressed as efficiency. (knowing where everything is necessary to a productive day)

Or it could be that upon studying your work routine you can pinch a quarter hour out of tasks that you have been a little slow at executing. Then there are the household duties. Better planning for buying the things that are needed to sustain the home necessities could produce additional extra minutes. You name where you can cut time corners executing household responsibilities and I will show you at least another 30 minutes of saved time.

With careful, auditor like, precision of reviewing your work week you could probably create an unused 60 minutes a day you didn't have access to before the audit.

Seriously consider shaving off time from even the length of your entertainment escapades in the interest of producing that additional hour of time every day, . . . and since it is so hard won in the long run, be sure to invest it in its highest and best use.

It's crazy how much more we can squeeze into our days if we really want to.

Some people who say they're "busy" spend hours and hours of their day on Facebook, watching TV, etc.

Meanwhile, they have just as much time in the day as someone who is building a business, getting in excellent shape, AND improving their relationships.

It's all about priorities and developing good habits.

The simplest way to do this is to do things on time. It removes all the clutter in your mind, you don't have to rush things and at the end of the day, you get more things done.

As we all know, time can not be stopped only controlled. I am getting more "techie" but still use old technology to help me manage my time. The "daytimer" scheduler really helps me. I write in my daytimer each night before going to bed what I need to do the next day and prioritize them according to importance. When I arise the next day I already have a list before me that I begin to accomplish. As always ,one must be dedicated and focussed on what must be done and not waste time getting tied up with "time wasters". I believe we can really get more productive time each day by watching and keeping a log of where we are spending our time and then taking action to reduce the wasted efforts of our day.

      That is a fantastic practice!

I actually do this too, but I use Outlook so that I can rearrange things a bit if needed. ^_^

I tend to find that if I force myself to do a task, I'll be much less productive. However, if I have a set number of things that have to be done, and a set amount of time to do them in, if I do them in whatever order I feel like that day, they'll still get done, and I'll be more productive doing it! ^-^

Don't try squeezing more into your day unless your mind is ready for it, otherwise you're creating more distraction (less productivity) for yourself.

Clear your mind first, then you will enjoy your work and work efficiently to boot.
