My First 46 Days Online..

I find it crazy that I've already been doing website design and development full time for 46 days! Woah, time has gone fast!

You can read more about my decision here: I choose entrepreneurship over full time education..

I made that decision despite told it was the wrong one on a daily basis. It was by far one of the hardest decisions I have ever made, but it's also been the best!

In the last 46 days I've secured many clients around the world and have even got people who are waiting for me to have the time to take on their projects. I'm also currently in discussion with a large IT business about them passing all of their web work over to me.

For me, this is crazy! I never thought things could go so well in my first month or so online. This just goes to show what you can do if you take action on a daily basis!

Although, it's not all been idyllic. The late nights, the repetitive process of coding and pushing pixels... It's been hard but I've loved every moment of it!

Q. What advice would I give to someone who is considering giving this business thing their all?

A. Figure out what you could do, how you could do it and DO IT.

I'm confident that with that advice, anyone can achieve success. You just have to start!

    well, congrats!

and i must agree with you. if we want online success, we simply have to start. the decision to start on this trade can be really daunting not because there's a limited chance to succeed but simply because we fear the unknown future, the outcome of our decision.

Beginning the "journey" is what it takes and I agree. After the first step then of course comes the organization and determination to finish it.I hope we all have success and happiness and make our dreams come true.

I'm with you Joe and congrats on your achievements so far. It shows that if you are dedicated, willing to put in the hard yards you can be successful.

Kudos for not listening to others. I think the reason is often people want what you are trying to achieve but are unwilling to take that leap of faith. They can not give up the safety of the education->graduate program->full-time job that the majority of people do on a daily basis.

Stick with it and to your success.

Congrats on your success. I took a similar course of action a few weeks ago myself and quit my very stressful job. It's awesome to hear someone on a similar path having success. I truly believe that any dream can become reality. As long as you take action and never stop fighting to make it happen, it will happen!

Congratulations on your decision. Not everyone has the courage and the conviction to take that leap of faith. My only advice I can give you is to NOT QUIT. Keep going.

Another great example of having an online business.

Also goes to show there are so many variations on how to do it. There is no secret, just a drive to succeed.

Joe, if this is the success your having right now, just wait till a year from now, your going to kill it buddy!

    Congrats! A real life warrior!

It is amazing how someone so young can have more guts than most of us. You did the one thing 90 percent of people fail to do - take action. Good for you!

It has to be the most simple bit of advice you could get but yet by far the most valuable!

Action = Success! - It really is that simple!

Totally! Same here, it's the determination and consistent action that separates the successful people from the unsuccessful ones!

        Come on Warriors, get working!

Thank you for your kind words!

I agree totally! The "4 Hour Work Week" by Tim Ferris was by far the most influential book I've read, it taught me that marching to a different drummer was a good thing!

Quoted from the book itself! Hehe.

Thanks! It's been pretty awesome actually! I've secured more clients and I'm looking at looking at what else I can offer!

        Thanks a bunch buddy!

I agree, they listen too much to what society says is acceptable.

If only they listened and read the right stuff on a daily basis, their entire opinion on a "career" could change instantly!

        That's what happened to me!

Thank you! I agree, go do something! It's bound to be more rewarding than doing nothing!

That's made me excited! Thanks for your kind words! One of my goals for the next twelve months is to buy a BMW 1 Series, it's such a nice car and I'd love to own one!

That's where I hope am in a year from now; writing a post on this Forum sat in my BMW! Hehe.

I put it down to being a little crazy... just kidding

I do think it's partly down to guts but I also firmly believe it's the fact of knowing what's possible. For as long as I can remember I've been reading success stories, listening to interviews with successful entrepreneurs, learning new things about business..

I think the whole concept that we can become successful using the Internet was slowly being forced into my brain. And I think anyone considering taking this seriously should do the same! Go study and learn about successful entrepreneurs, it'll make you think!

Thanks for your kind words, you rock!

I chose entrepreneurship over further education despite being laughed at by my friends and family..

I recently hit the "RESTART" button on my life, read my personal blog to find out how I did it :)

You've made the right decision. I quit my job just over a year ago and haven't had a regret yet. I've lost some friends along the way but realized it's worth it, they were only dragging me down. It ain't easy to succeed but you can't succeed if you never try. It took me almost two years to get the balls, stop talking about it and doing it.
Freedom is amazing. Best of luck to you.

thank you for this! I am starting my online business during one of the most busy times of my life. I will be moving abroad with my family next months and i have lot's to take care of (which is normal if you make a large step like we will)
It might not be the BEST time to start my on-line business but it just happened to be NOW that I learned about how I could do what I like best and even make money!
So... i WILL take action. And even though I know that action on a daily basis will lead to the biggest success (just like you have stated) but the bottom line is action = success.
It would be great to share a succes storry with all of you in a few months. but for now I would love to share my story of not giving up, pushing all borders and just GO. Go where you want to be (in terms of location) and go where you want to be professionally.

Great input. Big risks will always attract doubters, but big results will turn them into believers.
