Time is not made. Time is not found. Time is used. You are given time and it is up to you to use it. You are given a life and within that life you’re given years, within those years you’re given months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds. Ultimately you’re given only seconds in increments, constantly. In other words you’re given time through the form of seconds, every second you’re given a unit of time.

You don’t go out and find time and make time, it’s already given to you. There’s nothing you need to do to acquire time, it’s a gift from life. However, there’s no one there to look after time for you, or to overlook it. It’s entirely up to you to use the time you’re given. You may have some form of guide to assist you in managing time, but in the end time is something that you must use yourself. By use it is not meant in its usual context ‘to employ’ but in the sense that you must ‘occupy’. You must occupy time you’re given and use it to perform actions.

The choice is always up to you and you have the utmost freedom to control that moment in time however way you wish to. It’s yours and you can use it. But be aware that once used (or unused) there is no taking it back. That’s the concept of time. You cannot rewind time, you can either dispose of time or you can simply use it. By the time you read ‘this’ word, you will have already used up that moment in time. Was it worth it? Reading that probably wasn’t, but you might have learnt an important lesson on the concept of time, then in that case it was.

Time is a universal measure, every body is given time as long as they are alive. It is uniform for everyone and a second for you will be a second for everyone else. You cannot manipulate or change that, not yet at least. Therefore in that sense you are not disadvantaged, you are on a levelled playing field in that regard.

Nobody is perfect and no one uses time perfectly. But time can be used wisely. The efficient use of time cannot be taught or adopted. The ability to use time wisely is a subjective idea, based on your own beliefs of efficiency, so the idea of using time wisely to you may not be the same as Bill Gate’s idea of using time wisely, or your best friend’s idea of using time wisely. Everyone has a different perception on time efficiency and this is normal. However, nobody but yourself can decide how efficiently you are using time because it is a subjective matter. Over time you may acquire a greater understanding of time itself, and that’s how you learn but it’s something that only you can learn yourself.

However, although it is given to you it will not be that way forever. Think of yourself as a car and time being the mileage that you drive. A car does not necessarily have an expiry date but there will come a day that the car will not be able to go another mile. There will be days that the car will get into accidents, days that it will have trouble starting up but those are only hiccups. Your body also gets into accidents and could possibly not start up (for example; a coma). You must take care of your body the same way you must take care of your car so that it continues to function. Over time though it may start to decline in performance, the same way your body will decline in performance as you one day become physically weaker as you age late into your life. So your body will only be capable of going so far, time will only be given until your body goes that far. Take care of your body so that you are given time and can use that time for as long as possible.

The concept of time may be difficult to grasp, even though it is a simple matter but once you grasp the concept it will help you just that little bit extra to manage time and use it more efficiently. The ultimate idea regarding time is that it is constantly ticking, it does not stop and wait for you and it does not come back – once it’s gone, it’s gone. It’s up to you to use that time to do what ever it is that you need, want, should, would, or like to do.

The best part...Time is 100% FREE!!!

Everyone on this earth gets 24 hrs or 1440 minutes or 86400 seconds free each day without spending a single penny...it depends on you how you utilize this amazing free gift!

Time cannot be made, it cannot be extended, cannot be shrink-ed as quoted above, but definitely it can be managed!

      Thanks for reading!

It's a simple concept but some people don't think about it much. When you really look at it like I've written it as you really do kind of wake up and value time more IMO. People sometimes expect time to be warped, that they can stop time and focus on other things and just go back to other things later but that's not the case. Time ticks, and either you do what you need to do or you lose the chance to because time will always do what it needs to do and that is moving forward a second every second.

I have found that the best way to make the most of your time is to forget about time and focus as best you can on every present moment.

From a practical standpoint, yes, time management is important. But a lot of people get caught up in the illusion of time, worrying so much about yesterday or tomorrow that they completely miss today. There are others still who deny the existence of time and believe only in the "Now."

I think finding a healthy personal balance is best.

Well said. I'm a firm believer in living in the present, all the time. It's the moment that counts and determines your future. There's no such thing as doing something in the future, because it's a paradox. You cannot do something in the future, because the future is never going to be a moment in time. The future keeps moving forward, just as time does and the moment in time is always the present. So unless you pin point a moment in time in the future then really it's just a paradox to say you'll do "____" in the future. I'm not sure if I'm making entire sense right now, I'm kind of rambling with no sleep

    Great statement there. So true.

It's crazy when I look back at it (my life). When I was younger, I didn't think of anything and did lots of stupid things. I wish I could have utilized my time MUCH better, but I didn't. You don't realize how fast your life goes by until you actually notice it's flying by (if that makes any sense lol).

Now older and a lot more on my plate with "responsibilities" I see how precious time really is. We sometimes may take it for granted but its a precious resource that should be used with care. Don't let anyone steal your time...ever.

I know what you mean. Takes time to understand time though, but better you cmpletely understand and grasp it earlier rather than later.

        Hi,

Time management refers to development of tools and processes that increase efficiency and productivity. In business, time management has involved into everything from methodologies through services.

Time management necessarily allow us to get a lot of work done at the same time. Once we adopt these skills we can make sure that we are working on the right things, i.e., the things that truly need to be done on proper time.

        Thanks!

A gift we cannot simply just store away and use later. We are given it for 1 second, then it's gone. That can work for you or against you, it's your choice.

I personally feel that time is a non renewable source and the urge to keep track of it in every possible means makes it quite alarming to structure the work framed by it. To utilize time to the maximum extent I have been using the hours tracking software from Replicon with the help of which every single hour is being tracked and managed that gives me a path to properly utilize the time in the respective format.

I just want to share a very relevant quote

Every morning, you get $86,000 deposited into your bank account for your use. But like every other game, there are rules. There are two rules. One is that everything that you didn't spend is taken away at the end of the day. You can't transfer it or save it. It simply disappears. Rule two is that this game can end whenever; at any time it can say, the game is over. The account can close and you will not receive a new one. Tomorrow morning, another $86,400 will be deposited into your bank account. What would you personally do? You would buy anything and everything you wanted? Not only for yourself, but for all people you love? Even for people you don't know, because you couldn't possibly spend it all on yourself? You would try to spend every cent, and use it all?

Each morning we awaken to receive 86,400 seconds as a gift of life, and when we go to sleep at night, any remaining time is NOT credited to us. What we haven't lived up that day is forever lost. Yesterday is forever gone. Each morning the account is refilled, but the bank can dissolve your account at any time... without warning.

So, what will YOU do with your 86,400 seconds? Aren't they worth so much more than the same amount in dollars? Enjoy every second of your life, because time races by so much quicker than you think. So take care of yourself, be happy, love deeply, and enjoy life.

I like the post! Unfortunately, most don't think about time until they are rocked by a trauma of some sort or are awakened somehow. I treat time like poker. With everything I do I am proclaiming that THIS task is worth the cost in the amount of time, and I try to waste as little as possible. It's the one thing we can never get back. Thanks for posting.

You're right. Time is the basis of almost everything; money, opportunities, actions. None of those happen without the use of time.

Great post. Our time is limited and it's also unpredictable, and once we die nobody is coming with us. I find it hard to understand why we're so worried about what other people are doing and what other people think about us.

I have my time and you have your time and as long as you're not doing anything illegal you should feel free to do whatever you please. If you want to build a business online then go and build it. If you want to quit your job go ahead and do it. It is your time and nobody can tell you what to do with it and it's up to you whether you treat your time like it is precious or you just waste it like it's garbage.
