    Hey Kirby,

I agree with you 100%. Everyday, people experience anger in some way, shape, or form. Really, I believe that if anyone can take that anger and turn it into fuel for their fire, then they can easily turn things around.

Most people are whiners, and when they come across something that makes them angry, they let it ruin their entire day. We must have self control to use our anger wisely when it approaches us.

After all, Science proves that your results will reflect your attitude. If someone is always angry, then they will attract negative results, and vice versa.

    Thanks for the post!

Anger is an emotion just like every thing else and it can be used as a motivator but just make sure you don't do anything stupid......

I help young adults who are struggling physically, spiritually, emotionally, financially and relationally to take steps today to see results in a matter of weeks without having to go through the pain of buying thousands of books, courses and counseling sessions.

      too late!

anyway, it's a motivator, which implies getting you to take Action.

and our kind of action (sales and marketing), involves rejection, dejection, and looking stupid sometimes.

To accept a not wanted situation in my life would mean to me that I have given up on myself or I just have to tolerate everything. Oh no, no, no... I get angry. I have not accepted or tolerated situations or circumstances in my life, which are not acceptable or tolerable to me. My anger pushes me to action, productivity, even creativity and gives me the extra energy to do what needs to be done to make the change to the situation. A new choice, a corrective movement and a new, desired result.

Acceptance = accept the situation only to see what lesson it holds for you, what needs to be done differently
Anger = the fuel to make and the passion behind the change when the lesson has been understood

For some reason anger is generally seen (and accepted...) to be only negative. I also see it differently; a very natural, healthy feeling and reaction to unacceptable situations - as long as it pushes us to productive action towards our desires and we don't release it to other people, ourselves or bottle it up inside.

My questions would be, "When you are feeling angry, do you make the best decisions?? "

I totally agree that Anger can be a great catalyst for someone to go "No, I am not accepting this any more" and urges them to make changes to make things different. Anger is a great catalyst, but I don't think it is the best emotion to be in, to fully utilize all your internal resources to make changes.

How creative are you when you are Angry to come up with new solutions?? How flexible are you in your approach?? How good are you at seeing the big picture when you are angry??

Don't go seeking Anger. When you feel Anger, transmute it into a better emotional state that lets you come up with the best way forward, to ensure that it does not happen again.

    Cheers

    Josh

Anger is like other emotions we have. we can use it in any way we want. It can be a very powerful tool when anger is directed to the right direction. and if anger is turned into a motivation. but we need to keep in mind that we should not let this take over us.

Anger can be used to make you tough decision that requires an act of boldness.

Anger can also be used to kill someone.

It is important to differentiate between positive use of anger and negative use of anger.

The former can be used as an amazing tool to carve out your path to success.

Anger could definitely be used to get practical results.

Here is how I do it.

When I want to do something and I don't do it I start building up anger towards myself.

Once I have enough anger generated I have enough motivation to push the threshold and go for it.

      that's good to know.

      I use it like this:

I take slights, and negatives from others, to get mad and add

      "I'll show them"

Anger can be a motivational tool of some sort. We just have to know when and where to direct our anger to.

If we can get angry too easy, that would motivate ourselves but can be the fire destroy everything. It's better to control our emotion and take everything easy.

Anger can be used to fuel action, yes, but so can other, more effective (and healthier) emotions.

I suppose the choice is a personal one. The actor alone endures the full consequences of his or her actions, emotionally more than anything.

    • Anger is an emotion, like all others, .

      But???

do we "but" in what we say, are positive emotions?

I am happy, but I should take it down a notch???

I really like this person, "but", ???

I like what you said, "but", let me rain on your parade for a minute???

from Dictionary and Thesaurus - Merriam-Webster Online

      Origin of BUT

Middle English, from Old English būtan, preposition & conjunction, outside, without, except, except that; akin to Old High German būzan without, except; akin to Old English be by, ūt out — more at by, out

just bringing this up to garner more feedback.

anger is such a complex emotion and I have tried to use it as a a force for good.

"The tricky thing about stress (and the anxiety that comes with it)
is that it’s an absolutely necessary emotion. Our brains are wired
such that it’s difficult to take action
until we feel at least some level of this emotional state
      "

      * TalentSmart has conducted research with more than a million people, and we’ve found that 90% of top performers are skilled at managing their emotions in times of stress in order to remain calm and in control.

The study, led by post-doctoral fellow Elizabeth Kirby, found that the onset of stress entices the brain into growing new cells responsible for improved memory. However, this effect is only seen when stress is intermittent. As soon as the stress continues beyond a few moments into a prolonged state, it suppresses the brain’s ability to develop new cells.
