hello,

there is a popular story that appears in some success chats from the older guys on occasion .. it is about a roaster ..

a husband notes that every time his wife makes a roast she cuts the ends of and puts it in a roaster.. he asks her about it .. and to her that was just the way to cook a roast ..

then one day he sees his mother and law do the same thing .. asks her about it and again just the way to cook a roast ..learned it from my mom ..

so then one day he watches Grammy cook a roast .. but she doesn't cut the ends off .. and he asks why she didn't .. " oh i haven't needed to in a long time the old roaster was to small for a full roast "

too put this into real life modern terms .. after two years ago after my father had his second heart attack in a year ..because he stopped taking his insulin and his blood nearly turned into syrup .. we where talking to the nurse who was trying to explain diet stuff to him .. my father went through the depression.. and mentally never came out of it in many ways .. and the nurse mentioned.. yes during the depression to get your callories you had to add extra fat to everything or put greest on toast .. but you don't need to eat like that now ..

in the few week me and my ex lived together.. where she has gone periods of time without food . she had her habits to get her calories ..lots of hot dogs and cheeze whiz sandwiches ... now pretty much everyone has these habits the do .. they picked up from lack . that do not help them when conditions change

fo me i have a highly creative mind and i used my imagination to escape into to cope with a lot of thing that went bad in my life ...but most of those dreams fantasies would not be healthy to really have happen. and a lot of the last year or too has been retraining the way i dream from the person i am now and the person i am becoming .. instead of the person i was prior to two years ago .

If your going to actually grow through personally growth .. you have to opserve as many habits and beliefs as you can and update the ones as the condition that created them change.

for me i spent most of my life shy ..last year i suddenly stopped being shy ..i am not a social butterfly .. but if i have a reason to talk to someone or i over hear people chatting about stuff that interests me .. i can get myself into the conversation .

is your belief and your self image based in the reality of who you are now or who you are becoming..or is it stuck in the child you where or the awkward teen you may have been . are you living with a set of habits .. that are not appropriate to your current conditions ..
