How many times have you put off doing something important that needed to be done?

How many goals have you scraped because of the 1000s of logical reasons why you couldn't accomplish them?

How many times have you gone a few days into trying to create positive change in your life, but discouraged yourself through negative self-talk?

Or better yet..

How many times have you thought about taking action toward reaching your goal, but ended up doing nothing...

How did that feel?

How did it feel to stop yourself from moving forward toward your personal achievement?

How did it feel to cap your potential, and be forced to be only the fraction of the person you know you could be?

For me, I felt miserable.

I felt frustrated and dissatisfied.

But.....

I also felt like I had all the power in the world to accomplish what I wanted to accomplish.

I felt as if the world could be at my finger tips at will....

Under just one condition...

Under the condition that I took action.

If I acted upon my goals and desires, there would be nothing that would stop me from achieving what I would want from this life.

My dreams would no longer be a part of my imagination, unreal and intangible.

My dreams would become real and observable.

All that would be required is me taking action.

Nothing in my mind would be able to become real unless I took action to make it so.

It sounds so easy...

but it is very hard to do.

It is hard to take action to reach our dreams.

The action itself may not be hard, but overcoming our internal barriers may be the hard part.

There is a voice inside of our heads that tries to talk us out of making any sort of change in life.

At any point in time where we want to make a difference, our minds seem to just talk us out of it.

It tells us about all of our flaws...

It tells us that we are not capable of doing something great for ourselves.

It tells us that we are simply not good enough.

It saps us of all our motivation and tries to get us to surrender to defeat.

But, it can only try to defeat us.

It doesn't have to succeed.

In truth, we all have a choice. We can choose to listen to the negative talk in our head...

Or we can choose to ignore it.

If we listen to it, we will never manifest our dreams into our physical lives.

We won't be the type of people we want to be.

We will give our power away, and become powerless.

But, if we ignore the negative voice in our head...

Great things start to happen.

We begin to manifest our desires into the physical world.

The intangible turns into something tangible.

We become powerful, instead of powerless.

So, what if the negative voice keeps calling out to you, even though you try and ignore it?

Hear what it is saying, and take action anyway.

The negative voice in your head is going to try to convince you not to follow your dreams..

But you have do it anyway.

Follow your dreams...

And don't just follow your dreams, chase after them.

It is your right to enjoy personal fulfillment.

    Nice post.

Makes me think of Mother Teresa's "Do It Anyway"

Mother Teresa: " Do It Anyway" (The Prayer Foundation).

    Cheers,

I suffered from this problem but I now counter it by telling myself:

'if I change nothing, nothing changes'
