Looks like the majority of mobile activity is coming from tablets (I'm a droid guy myself) but this is good info for mobile marketers: In Mobile, Majority Of Ad Impressions And Clicks Come From Tablet Users | Fast Company Mac the Knife |

I have seen more reports and activity coming from smartphones. Until I can discreetly or successfully place a tablet in my pocket would I feel people need tablets more. When I am on the fly which most everyone is, the idea of just whipping out my smartphone outweighs the tablet by a huge margin. Above all people, Steve Jobs himself had said that the iPad will never be as important as a the iPhone, speaking in phone/tablet comparison. Stay well in everything you do |

Will is right, tablet browsers, in essence are just like PC users. Their screen is large enough for normal websites, and so the users are more likely to be "typical internet users". As opposed to those people on mobiles surfing the web on their 3G connection, who want, quick and easy access to what they are searching for. The only difference between a PC web surfer and a Tablet web surfer is the need for a roll over link differentiation. |
