Would some Warriors with smart phones please check that this qr code works? It works with my android but I want to see if it works with others.i.e. iphone etc. Please mention the smart phone you are using. Thanks It creates an SMS text but don't click to send...it is a bogus number anyway. |

Didn't work on Inigma app on my Blackberry 9700. Having said that it seems to have some problems with various codes unless they are really big. The red laser app on iPhone and iPod is much better but don't have it with me to test right now.

So if this qr code works on the newer phones then wouldn't there be a market for businesses wanting their own logo embedded inside their code? Incidentally, I have always thought that whenever a qr code is used, the url should be listed right below it...assuming it is a code that depicts or spits out a url.. So many usages of the qr code assume desktop usage due to the fact that many qr codes have the user get sent to a regular website. |

I tend to think those QR codes with a transparent image just layered over the top of them look a little tacky. You should check out this other Warriors work and see how much better a QR code can be customized for a business. These look much more professional: http://www.warriorforum.com/mobile-m...ml#post4680428 |

Here are some examples of customized QR codes. You can see what I mean by how much more professional and creative these look than just placing a transparent image over the QR code. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yes, many of his look very good. I wonder how much time was put into them. Others like the some of the ones you posted in that thread didn't scan for me on my Droid.

To be honest I'm not sure how long those other codes take. I know the examples that were posted in the other thread I mentioned above the guy said it takes them about an hour to do each one I believe - but man, imagine what you could charge for something as nice looking as those. I tend to think you would be better just customizing the colors of the QR code to match the company colors rather than just blending the transparent image over them - I think it would look a bit better. Once again though I'm not sure how long it would take. I'm guessing if you have a high quality image of the QR code it would just be a matter of going into Photoshop and changing the colors of the squares.

I just gave it a try. Here's an example. This took me literally about 3 minutes in Photoshop and scans fine on my iPhone. ![]() You could then even put that QR code image over an image of a pumpkin or something like that. |

Will - I think we have very similar design tastes. I just posted the Corkbin QR code image in the showcase before I saw you posted it in this thread. Does anyone know how to make a similar looking QR code? My friend has a skateboard/clothing company and I think that style would be a great match. |
