Hi Andy! Here are my tips for you: - Social network pages are also good at promoting the app. Find relevant groups on Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+, use hashtags on Twitter. Use cross-promotion (including internal cross-promotion from other apps you own). Share the news through your friends. - Create an app trailer. Create a demo video. Place them on YouTube. - Build a supporting website for the application. Now the main information about your app is accessible via search engines and browsers. Include a link to the application store. - There are a thousand and one good websites that can help you make the app known. Ad networks/PR websites, social bookmarking websites, app review websites, related forums, social media, thematic blogs, and more, and more. Write press releases about the app and submit them around the web, participate in discussions and react to the feedback. Source: 10 Effective Ways To Promote A Mobile App |

Do the same thing people use to promote everything else. Press releases, articles, videos, blog reviewers, PPC to fb ads poi ting to landing page, etc. Then do app specific marketing to complement, eg: have you seen the cards that Starbucks gives away promoting a free app of the week? There are also free app of the day/week/month sites that promote your app for a fee. Congrats on your first app! |

It is not an easy thing to do. You should hire a mobile app marketing agency. They have the perfect blend of resources and skills to ensure that your app reaches out to its potential customers.

You should make a Facebook Page for your app. You can post pictures of the app on there, and news on updates. It'll also encourage people to share it with their friends. You can buy ads on various mobile gaming websites and you can even buy ad space for other apps. Look into apps similar to yours, and contact the developer and ask him if it would be ok if he could advertise your app on his for a fee.

The fastest way to market your app is through social media. You can boost your online presence through social media sites, particularly Facebook and Twitter. It's a great start for marketing to connect, get together, and build relationships with people, especially those with similar interests with you.

Hey Andy - there are plenty of options as highlighted previously and all worth of exploring, but did you know that only 5% of all apps that are downloaded are still being used after a period of 30 days? The point here is that hopefully you are considering your marketing from more than just a "how can I get people to download my app" perspective. It should consider how you would re-activate a user base based off a certain event so e.g. if they haven't launched the app after a period of 14 days (or whatever) and then picking the right channel in order to support that objective. Good luck and congrats on the app ![]() Boom. |

App Store Optimization appears to be the way to go for the small solo indie devs. As with anything connected to digital, a social media presence is essential. Its all about building a community. Once you build up that community of users, you can cross promote between apps, via your social networks and email lists. Getting reviewed on popular app review sites is also essential in getting your word out about your app, and at least for Google Play store, the links to your app page could help boost your rankings. I am a noob to this forum, but I have been in the internet marketing scene for awhile. My background is in SEO, but I have become increasingly more interested in app marketing in the past year or so. I put together this resource for devs looking to submit their app to app review sites: Best App Review Sites List: The Holy Grail (100+ & Counting) It is a list of more than 100 app review sites that can be filtered by Alexa traffic rank, domain authority and social reach. I also listed what kind of apps each site reviews and whether they are iOS or Android focused. |

I would suggest that you use Social Networking sites as much as you can to promote the app. Also, make a video demonstrating the video and upload it to Youtube. This is what you should be promoting. And offer it for free for a limited time so that people get a chance to experience it (of course you will give it for free only if that's feasible).

Following are the best and fastest way to get instant hot buyers. Step1- Facebook Create a Keyword optimized FB page With great pictures of Apps. Write an interesting article with keywords density 2 and Post html Note on you Facebook page. Post 3 to 5 messages on Facebook time line. Join daily up to 3 to 4 groups related to your products. Invite your friends on your Facebook page and get likes. Purchase Facebook Ads. Step2: Reddit write an article in point form with interesting information about your main subject. look for a sub-reddit related to your topic example: If you are promoting a weightloss product You may go to reddit.com/r/loseit, there are as many sub reddits as you ca imagine in all kind of topics, so look for a subreddit related to your topic. Write a headline such as “The 10 foods you never thought will make you fat” or “The 10 foods that will eat your fat away”, the type of headlines you would read in the national enquirer (believe me they work). Getting traffic from reddit have several benefits, besides the backlink, it send the social signals that Google is looking for and many people will share your content on facebook (look that the image above) twiter, Google +, etc… just by the same effort, Step4: POF POF (https://ads.pof.com/) Promote your business on Plentyoffish! with cheap rates. Many business owners target local consumers based on zip code, age, gender, education, profession etc. No other site on the web will allow you to target users the way POF do! |

For starters you need to unleash your application, and not to raise the price of its strong application and code becomes popular then you can raise the price.

Nowadays, Freemium model is being used by most of the app makers because users now wanna have a look at the app first before the think of spending money on it. | |
