      The concept of reincarnation sees the body die along with its memory as its way of "rest" (before returning) and if the interlude is the eternal (outside of linear time), you've attained all the rest that's imaginable, forever.

      The concept of immortality then is probably more exhausting...

        No, you do get a rest upstairs typically for 100 years, then after countless family reunions, etc, have another shot!

        The best way to explain it, is go watch Groundhog Day, you keep coming back to evolve to a certain point, that coming back is unnecessary!

        No, Sal you can come back on other worlds as other life forms, but the Earth is the toughest, and so, fastest one, to evolve in!


        So for example one of these, %^&* 20 year olds, that go kill someone because they are bored, or watched "Rope" too many times, will have to come back at least 5 times or more in order to realise what jerks they are this time around.

        One of those lives will most likely be them as a woman getting killed, so they can experience first hand what they did.

        But like anything in life, learning produces better results or a better human being in the end!

    But it doesn't make sense that it seems to be just one planet out of universes of them. Why, with billions on billions of planets that can support life, would we insist on continuing to come back here repeatedly. Maybe one or two here or there for some unfinished reason.......but to continue to come back to earth over and over again? It really just doesn't make sense to me. That doesn't mean it can't happen.           Oh I'm there with that idea, but I don't think we come back "here". I think we incarnate in higher dimensions. I also believe that some things here in the 3rd are bleed in from other dimensions - things like electricity and a few other forms of really inscrutable energy and substance....like the boson and dark energy.

    There are far better cases in India in both time and space, where reincarnation is taken for granted. You have children whose "previous life" was very recent and near where they live. As a result, a lot of their claims can be verified with their "previous" parents, spouses, children and friends. This puts a huge strain on their present and "past" families.

    Science can explain why some people have memories of "their previous life".

    If you hire scientists to find a scientific explanation, I believe a lot of them would come up with a theory, some of which would even make enough sense so that many people would buy into it, esp. the ones who reject the idea of afterlife.
    If you were paid a million bucks, or if your life depended on coming up with a scientific theory, wouldn't you come up with something?

      In sort of a related phenomena, there are numerous reports from people who have had organ
      transplants who remember things that happened to the donor. (I don't recall if the same applies
      to recipients of donated tissue.)

        Organ transplants and even blood transfer.

        Water has a memory, primitive, but still. Our bodies are 65% made of water.
        Also what if the junk DNA is actually not junk, but it works as the hard disk or a backup device to store long term memories, while the brain is more like a processor and a Random Access Memory or Cache, Flash, whatever you call it.

    It IS interesting, but one wonders how come they didn't say this when he was like 1yo! I mean if he remembers ALL this, why wouldn't he remember every language he learned as well. Did his prior self know japanese? And the pictures seemed simplistic for someone that lived through the ordeal.

    Christianity DOES give a few nods to reincarnation being possible. This doesn't actually reenforce the hindu idea which kind of speaks towards different variants, etc...

    Frankly, I HOPE the more reasonable Christian beliefs are true, and that a day will come when people are judged on THEMSELVES and any artificial status is thrown out the window. REMEMBER, that means NO money, fame, possessions, "promises", relationships, loopholes, or lawyers would save you.

    I think there is a decent change, reincarnation is real, but it's up to scientists to prove it, not random psychics. I think Nikola Tesla once said, when we'll start to explore non-material phenomenons, humanity will rapidly evolve (something in that context).
    There are phenomenons, that are hard to explain with the understanding we posses now (out of body experience, "coming back" from death and experiences that follow, past life memories in hypnotherapy (I'm talking about hardcore hypnotherapy)).

    I guess we'll all find out at the end .

      Well, if that kid is stating the truth, about what he knows and how, then HE pretty much has personal proof, and it is better than any "psychic". "Psychic's" usually try interrogation, vagueness, assumption, implication, and feedback to convince a listener that the "psychic" said far more than they really said, and have the listener basically TELL them what they are looking for.

      This is SUCH a powerful tool that any decent test, that requires interpreted feedback, will be what they call DOUBLE BLIND. That means that NEITHER side knows what is what. HERE, one side knows the answers. In a double blind study of a drug, for example, a person is supposed to label each test with a meaningless code, and there will be practically worthless items mixed in with the supposedly good drug. They are all supposed to make the patient believe they got the same thing. LATER someone else matches the results with what was expected. The worthless items should all get low grades, and the others should get GOOD ones.

      I guess they COULD have hired a disinterested person to find items the boy supposedly should know, and present them to the kid in a non interactive way with NO leading. The kid could then send the results to ANOTHER disinterested party, and the 2 parties could then go to a place to compare.

      For example, the family could be shown as separate photos with separate meaningless backgrounds. The child would have no reason to even think they were related, let alone be able to ask for names, or imply.

        You didn't think about it as if your life depended on it. If you were paid, like many scientists get paid for their fantasies, you might have come up with something like this... It will answer both your questions.

        Some brain scientists admit that they have no clue where the memory is stored. I know, the high school book authors know exactly, but serious scientists admit they don't. Funny isn't it? Other scientists say brain works more like an antenna and a computing device only, rather than a storing device. So there you go, the data is being constantly emitted from brain, it bounces around the planet until some infant picks it up. If you die in an accident, the signal that will be sent out before the death would be very strong. That's why there is a greater chance that it will be picked up by someone else.

        Now you only need to make some experiments that prove that brain emits EM or radio waves. And have an authority to talk about it. How about Hawking, Dawkins or Neil deGrasse Tyson. And believe me the public will accept this "theory" as a fact.

        And of course there is a theory that we are nothing but computer programs (like in the Matrix movie). That explains reincarnation. Someone just copy/pasted a file with little modifications. And there you go... past life memories. The computer program by the way is the only explanation to the most absurd and illogical ideas, like the biblical heaven and hell idea.

        Well.........lets attempt a logical one and see if it could work scientifically.

        There are minerals that store energy...ie, they store memory. These minerals vibrate. Children also vibrate, and sometimes might come across a mineral or other object that was placed at one time in proximity to be able to store the energy memory of the murder/burial. Because of some idiosyncrasy in the child's own vibration, he picks up (absorbs) the stored energy which is translated back into memory by neural hardwiring.

        That's the closest I can come to a scientifically logical answer. The argument has a logically valid structure, anyhow.

          There IS the piezoelectric quality. It has been used for centuries. Basically, connecting electricity to a crystal can cause it to vibrate. Applying pressure to a crystal can generate a current.

            We are judged by ourselves or set laws, when we die, it doesn't happen externally!

            Then according to the level we achieved this time through we gravitate to the best level to evolve up there and possibly prepare down here.

            Most go to heaven though from what l have heard!

            I think that if reincarnation was false, then a grave injustice with premature baby's, etc would occur.

            Some scientist would love to prove it, (it can be proven with advance equipment) but whenever someone comes up with something that could open this subject up to the masses, then the usual confiscate the equipment, crap happens.

            Possible, evolve enough down here, then coming back may not be necessary.

            And probably, higher dimensions are necessary in order to create laws that bind the galaxy together.

            Gravity is probably an illusion created by atoms shearing against or through higher dimensions and creating the illusion of gravity or weight!

            Which means that defying gravity could be achieved through sound waves, and even the right thoughts!

            No. peizoelectric isn't memory. Memory is resonating energy, but it's not electricity. It silicon. Quartz crystals are silicon..... that's why crystals can store memory in a computer. Silicon.

            Trivia: Indians out in Colorado used to craft ceremonial rattles with a very thin translucent skin of some sort and put quartz crystals in them - shake them and you'd get the effect that they contained lightening bolts, flashes of light.

            No - it's some sort of energy retention. You're an engineer of some sort, right? So what elements store resonating energy and can spit it back out in one piece? Quartz (silicon crystals) is the only one I know. I'm sure there's others.

              No - it's some sort of energy retention. You're an engineer of some sort, right? So what elements store resonating energy and can spit it back out in one piece? Quartz (silicon crystals) is the only one I know. I'm sure there's others.
              Crystals that have been manufactured the right way can also draw energy from subspace. The guy on YT vidoes who has defied gravity has also created special batteries that use this principal.

              Interesting about the crystal rattle though; it seems that we only need to study animals for common sence health, and possible cures, as well as ancient cultures, for new energy systems!

                Shane - manufactured what kind of crystals. What is the natural crystal they're making synthetics of? Lazer is ruby, and I think they can replicate ruby now. Seems also, that if they have lazer from ruby, then saphire must be good for something - it's the same mineral, same crystal structure, just a different color. What is the crystal they are making?

                The batteries, I believe were some sort of electromagnetic concoction?

                  Hmmm, found a great site on all of this, l will do a new post, should rattle some skeptics!
