I've been watching Zero Point on Youtube -- I just found the most incredible discussion of physics that I have ever seen in my life. This dude is going to have Hawkins idolizing him. It's hard for me to use the term "mind-blowing" for this, even though that's exactly where it sits, because social media is so filled (ad nauseam) with videos of rather mundane events being described as
"mind blowing" that it leaves one to wonder if there are many IQ's floating around the net that are that may be significantly higher than the temperature of the average room. I can't use that term comfortably even though I think I found something that is actually deserving of it. You really need to see this. This film changed the whole structure of reality for me. Watch it all the way through - so you get both the intro to the concepts and then the scientist that will explode your cranium.

Anyway - Nassim Harameins Grand Unified Field Theory preceded with an introduction to fractal geometry and discussion. This is killer. Completely killer science.

I love stuff like this. I'm planning on getting a laptop next week, yay, and will be able to watch videos with audio and everything. Right now, I can watch them but audio is not possible.

This is volume two, did you see volume one?

Phew, pretty heavy stuff, especially the end!

But l tend to not agree with the proton being a black hole idea, eventhough there are similarities!

The idea that weight is caused by brushing against higher dimensions makes more sense.

Yes I did. I liked it but it didn't blow me away. This one did. Completely. I started to watch volume 3 last night but fell asleep so didn't see much of it. This is an incredible series.

Found this informative pdf that discusses what seems to be in the video. Talks about the proton as black hole and more. Thought those interested in this topic may like to read about it. And there's information about Nassim Haramein and his work. I read some of this but don't have time for all of it, right now at least.

The proton as a black hole makes perfect sense when you consider the whole theory. It's infinity in both directions, along with the "full vacuum". I guess that part is what is sticking in a lot of people's heads - but I think when you hear him explain it in his own words it won't be an odd idea at all to you. If you can actually do the math (which I can't), it probably would make even more sense.

I've always had trouble with Einstein's theory of time. I couldn't get my head around it at all - couldn't see outside of the human perception of linear time - this just clarified it for me so I can understand how the concept could work.

Just watched volume 3. This series in the most incredible thing I've ever watched. Some skeptics might need to just hold themselves through the UFO talk at the very beginning of episode one. The rest of this stuff is just bizarre amazing.

For future reference here -- go to the youtube in my post and click on the "youtube at the bottom and it will take you to the vid on youtube - the other volumes will be in the list of other vid's on the right side. Kewl how that works. LOL. I'm not sure if there are more than 3 though. I'll be checking for more later - I really want MORE!! They are all sightly different subjects, but it's a good idea to watch them in order because there's a few facts in each one that bleed into the next volumes.

        EDIT: There's a volume 4, too! YAY.

Thanks Shane. I just got finished watching it just before I came back to the forum to find this thread. I'm thinking you probably are diggin' the heck out of this particular volume?

At the end there is an inclusion of a TED talk which was taken out -- because it promotes a few illegal drugs. Interestingly enough to me, it is quite similar to the work that T. Leary was done when his work was sequestered, destroyed, and he was thrown in jail. Unfortunately TPTB couldn't get their hands on all of it. Everything was taken off the shelves, but some people already had been studying it when it became classified info. Funny how that happens when people find info that can tank authority - Tesla, Rife, etc.

We used Leary's works in my study groups in college and every person in those groups ended up on the deans list -- continuously. Whitechapel goes further than I saw in any of Leary's works, but what we were able to get our hands on was not complete. It was enough to change everyone's learning patterns and abilities, but not the complete set, so who knows what else he knew? The Whitechapel talks might actually have been a result of information of Leary's that someone got their hands on and continued study with. Sounded like it to me.

Anyway - I found those talks and will be listening to the whole series of those as well. Something has gone extremely wrong in the development of human consciousness. So much so that our whole planet has become endangered. How is it that 7 bil people can be so controlled by the few that they will willfully and knowingly drink and eat poison, and watch our ecosystems destroyed for profit? That is not a natural phenomenon. At all.

This stuff is of major interest to me. I LOVE mind science, and I LOVE physics.

Hmmm, yes and no, yes, l am into all of this, but l have seen a good part of this before.

It is good that they are pooling it all together in one place, though!

Yes, 7 billion! Probably because 50% are too poor or hungry to give a toss!

And the rest are divided into different types of burying their heads in the sand, because they don't like or want to believe certain things!

I actually had a woman get angry at me because l proved to her that Mars did have a blue sky, (other forum)!

Others that are fooling around with this stuff, and know that they can't sell it, but can still build a UFO, that runs forever in their back yards.

The man dangling under a large rectangular device are individuals fooling around with antigravity, (relatively easy to do, and not have the cops break down your door, because you supposedly had an affair with a minor 100 years ago)!

And others who are suppressing it all, because of potential oil profits!

And still others with the wealth and influence, who do nothing!

Sal, thanks for the link - it's a well-made video.

I first learned of Mandelbrot's fractal geometry via the writing of Nassim Taleb and find the topic fascinating. I thought the part discussing the theory of a holographic universe was also intriguing. However, when it gets to the presentation it all goes a bit pear-shaped, IMO.

I'm not sure that Hawkins would think much of a self-proclaimed scientist who appears to not understand Newton's third law of motion (the one Haramein refers to as the "first first law of physics"). There isn't a need for anything to correspondingly contract in an expanding universe, as he contends early in his talk.

Which is unfortunate, because he uses this misunderstanding as the basis for much of his theory.

I believe the presentation dates from 2003, but as far as I can see, there have been no peer reviews for his unification theory work - if you know of any, please link.

It's a pity. The first half of the video was really quite interesting.

"self proclaimedd" Really? His title: Nassim Haramein, Director of Research at the Hawaii Institute for Unified Physics (HIUP), might lead you to understand differently?

"The Schwarzschild Proton" received the "Best Paper Award" at the University of Liege, Belgium during the CASYS'09 conference. (PESWiki; Oct. 4, 2009)

He's no hack - even though some pysicists are screaming just that ...probably to protect their funding. He's getting mixed acceptence -- And....his theory is being reviewed, but it might take some time to get any solid yea/na feedback. It's not "do you like his hair" -- it's freakin' physics. It takes awhile to think about it, etc.

His Schwarzschild Proton theory is now mainstream science. Whether this new Unified theory proves out or not is yet to be seen, but it is being taken seriously - and has been entering science magazines now. I don't have those mags but I do know that It's in Nexus Magazine France - November - December 2013 issue has an article on it - favorable. AIP also has something on it but Chuck (physicist friend - likes his work) couldn't remember which issue.

News of one of his theories made some headlines including yahoo finance, because of the possible links to lucrative industrial and commercial possibilities. energy from space? I'm not going to bother looking up that one. Have at it.

      .

Edit: (Dec 2010) Nassim Haramein's award winning scientific paper, "The Schwarzschild Proton," has passed the peer review process and has been published at the American Institute of Physics (AIP) Conference Proceedings. The table of contents of the proceedings book can be found on their site and should soon be updated with full text.

EDIT II: Check this out from Cern -- there might not be a Higgs Boson -- however, they have found particles that go faster than the speed of light (exit era of Einsteinian physics). Haramein might turn out to be right whether anyone else wants him to be or not.

When you accept that HIUP is not a recognised institution, and is more of a think tank to promote Haramein's work, that might lead you to understand differently.

Haramein also appears to be the only Director they have. It's very possible that he is the only person connected with it at all.

So yes, "self-proclaimed" is a very valid epithet.

Didn't realize that. Will do more checking around. Still - his paper on the proton was quite a success and there seems to now be evidence at cern for his claims. His Unified theory is creating a major buzz, and seems, from what I can tell, to be gaining mainstream attention. This guy is no hack or he wouldn't be getting the attention he is gaining in mainstream physics. He seems to have some support, too. His proton theory put him over the edge in respectability.

Besides what if his photon theory is his only claim to fame? He's still got that, huh? A lot more than a lot of physicists ever get. His theory actually is a result of Hawking's "grey hole" -- and Rovelli and Vidotto's work on the information regurgitation in "grey holes" actually validates his theory on protons. He's hit the mainstream - now lets see what he does with it and if his Unified theory becomes accepted as at least the mainstream "alternate".

I've downloaded the videos, but haven't had a chance to look at them yet.

I'm not saying (yet anyway) that he's not on to something with his theories. Who knows, he may be the next Newton or Einstein, but I'd like to see more of his stuff go though the wringer of a proper peer review process before accepting it as anything other than theory.

His proton theory has been through the peer review, received awards, etc. What needs to be seen is how his unified theory holds up.

I like it. I think it explains, logically, Einstein's theory of time - and also explains dark energy, as well as what happens to energy that seems to just "disappear" - which Hawking's black hole work really doesn't explain well enough to make any logical sense. I've always had a problem with that one, unless it's leakage into an alternate universe, but even then, the universe would be shrinking if energy was leaking. I also like his use of 3D - which is what we are. Using flat representation for a 3D universe doesn't add up. Check the old replicas of the solar system which show the planets orbiting a fixed object (sun) - while the sun is anything but fixed. The use of the vortex movement of the solar system as it actually runs instead of a fixed replica explains a lot of things that just tied the science into a lot of unexplainable paradoxes.

I've been looking for actual physicists that I am familiar with calling him a hack. I'm not finding any such thing from anyone. There's a lot of people saying he is -- but I'm not seeing anyone of any reputation of their own saying so. That means they're looking at what he's saying and checking it out for themselves. In light of the fact that the Higgs Boson has not been proven - but they now have a particle that travels faster than light, they aren't going to call him much since he appears to be on track with this discovery when nobody else was.

Don't get me wrong. It won't hurt my feelings if he's proven wrong. He's just someone I'm going to be watching very carefully. Now I want to see if anyone fits what he's saying into some of the work being done on dark energy.

CERN says Neutrinos Faster than Speed of Light | Energy Digital
Interesting, people have done a lot of experiments where the particle seemed to travel past light speed.

Including the Lazer beam experiments, which was proved to be a false reading, (well, as far as we know).

Lets, hope that if proven right, there is no crap, or they say "we were wrong"!

Getting seriously tired of all this suppression crap!

Those particles could also be creating their own mini warp field, at 99.999% light speed, and that might temporarily be pushing it over the limit!

              Hope we find out soon!
