The art of keyword stuffing

I just had to share this...:p

I was goofing around on a few jazz sites today looking for a bio on a particular drummer and I came across this gem:

History of Jazz history jazz scene swing musicians drummer

See if you can figure out what keyword this person had in mind when he stuffed this page like it was a Thanksgiving turkey

I'll take a wild guess and say "jazz".

Yeh, kind of like keyword spam. Did you find it through a google search?

Yea Tim, I was looking for some sites that had some Art Blakey info and tunes (bio) and the search that found that site on Google was 'great american jazz drummers'.

I just had to laugh when I tried reading the copy.

It's actually a good example of how writing copy for the search engines makes it a sucky site for visitors.

And, of course, it doesn't rank for 'jazz' at all.

      Thanks for playing

From what I understand, Google doesn't like having keyword stuffing like that. Perhaps the SEO for the site is better in other ways such as backlinks. I certainly wouldn't recommend writing copy like that for a site. That copy would not get passed for an article on ezinearticles, that's for sure.

Another point would be that the phrase "great american jazz drummers" doesn't get searched much, so this site may have been the best possible choice for Google for some reason, even considering the keyword stuffing.

Looks like someone has been reading too many copycat SEO ebooks.
