Peyton Manning

Not the way he wants to go out or be remembered. I'm sure he'll dedicate himself to getting in the best shape possible, mentally and physically and hopefully will return for one last great season.

The question is, if he has a great next season, is he smart enough to leave before he has another abysmal one. :-)

Cheers. - Frank

Thanks

As a life time die hard Bronco fan, I want him back. It was just released that he had a serious muscle tear in his thigh during the past month.

I think once he heals and it's time to start working out again he'll want to come back. He's the one player that even loves practicing and studying film and I think he'll miss it when the time comes.

Thanks

As an AFC rival I hope he retires ASAP.

Remember he has had other bad injuries (neck) and unfortunatley as you get older you do not heal as fast or as well, If he does come back I hope he does OK. It will be tough to see him end his great career on a bad note. Of course Elway will say he wants him back. He certainly wants to the "really good" Manning back. Saying he does not want Payton back would have been bad PR and tick off lots of fans.

For me it's all about this. ^^^

Manning has lots of records and plenty to be proud of. I felt really uncomfortable the other night watching him. His accuracy was terrible. I know they're saying he had a hidden injury and I'll accept that.

But I wonder how much of that was real and how much was giving the guy a break for a really bad game. I'd rather remember him at the higher levels he's achieved than a guy that was grasping at straws trying to avoid the inevitable.

Peyton Manning will always be remembered as one of the greats. And he can have just about any job in pro football he wants from general manager to head coach to talking head for one of the networks. I'd like to see him coaching some awful team to success than going another season at QB.
- Thanks

I was surprised they let Fox go, but Elway's right about the level they need to win the Bowl.

I hope the Broncos draft someone like Cardale from OSU. I don't think Osweiler is the guy
and there has to be a strong back up so Peyton can heal if injured again.

I dream that Manning returns and stays healthy and wins at least one more Bowl before retiring.
I think he will return because he is a very intense man, and a month ago or so he said he'd be back.
I also think he is smart enough to know his limits. I think he and Elway know what is needed to win next year.

Elway was 38 when they won their last Bowl.

The Browns have already called dibs on 12Gauge. Neener, neener, neener.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Which pretty mush ensures he won't be any good as a pro.

Yes, except for a collective decision to leave Claude's store and OSU football alone,
they ruin everything in Ohio. (Actually, I never like Johnny Football anyway.)

That article about the Broncos letting their whole coaching staff go, if true,
makes me wonder if publically Elway says he wants manning back, but
privately says "I will accept your resignation."

Precisely. Additionally, Cardale is from Cleveland, so he's already predestined for failure anyway. You good folks of Colorado don't want him.

Being from Knoxville and a UT Alumni of course I love Peyton. He has done a helluva alot for the Universtiy and the City.

But I think it is extraordinarily tough for him to have only won ONE superbowl.

I think at this point in his career he figured he would have more than that.

To me, I will always think of him as one of the greatest football players ever.No question.

But to be amongst the greatest Champions ever you got to get over that One hit wonder image.

I know a lot of people wont agree but I think Peyton would !!

All the great ones did...Montana, Elway, Staubach, Brady, Aikman

Thanks
