BTW when they speak of the US holding its debt, that is generally US CITIZENS! When they say Social security owns it, it is a HIDDEN asset obfuscated through multiple layers, and several DEMAND that they NEVER be audited. So it is STILL owed! Though we can't really actually go to war, the end result is the same. If a default happened, on Socsial security, we would have what we have. So we will always be wondering if it was just moronic mismanagement, or ful out intentional fraud, by defaulting on internal debt.
