Grammatical Pet Peeves

What grammatical errors do you see on forums that distract you from what you are reading? We all make mistakes from time to time, but what are the ones you see over and over that drive you crazy? If you are bold, admit the one(s) you know you do as well.

In e-mail, I use "your" instead of "you're" occasionally. Mr. Murphy is my spell check.

My top two pet peeves are:

1) Use of the word "irregardless." Does regardless need extra emphasis to get your point across?

2) Periods and commas with quotes. Periods and commas go INSIDE the quote, not outside. "Irregardless."

I have many grammatical pet peeves, including your own example of your and you're. Add to the list people who mess up here and hear; their, there and they're; improper use of commas and apostrophes and people who type the same way they talk: "Y'all ain't got no clue what I seen."; using seen instead of saw; and double negatives are some of my most irritating.

I see a ton of grammatical errors online, especially in chat & emails. The only thing that sometimes annoys me is all CAPS.

I used to not be bothered by grammatical errors. My girlfriend is currently going for her masters degree in curriculum and teaching so she points out every little detail and error in everything she reads. She has no mercy especially when it comes to my own writing. I personally hate it when people don’t use a capital I. How hard is it to hold down the shift key and type the letter I.

Everything else that has pointed out above also applies to me as well.
