    Iam sure if the tables were turned and it would have been 5 snakes attacking a defenseless dog many people in here would have been outraged. LOL ( particularly if no human stepped in to help)

    Most people are not really true humanitarians when it comes to animals. Just selective ones that they consider more important

    I don't get the point of this video... It's 5 dogs biting a snake... Great. If the snake killed them 5 dogs, jag would be getting slaughtered but because nans best friend wins its all cool...

        Besides the point... Only because the dog wins people don't care, under this assumption I can post videos of a dog getting eaten alive and no one should care... Theoretically life is equal.

          It isn't "besides the point". It's a joke, unless you believe a cobra can really drag you out of a fire and didn't notice the smiling face.


          BTW I'm not one that believe life is equal and am a "speciesist" and would generally try to save a mammal from a reptile, especially if the mammal was a pet of mine. It's a perk of Mother Nature putting me at the top of the food chain. The number one law of nature is that might makes right.


          If one truly believes all life was equal, then they couldn't eat. Logic dictates that anyone that eats another living organism clearly believes their own life is more important than the life they are eating.

            I got the joke part, it's just the original post kinda irked me. I am exactly the same as you, I'd save the dog but I just don't see the point of the orginsl post making a kinda joke of it.

They would see this video and think it's sick, I just find it kinda hypocritical that people say they are animal lovers when in reality they aren't.           True animal lovers understand an animal's nature, but they would never set a pack of dogs on a snake (or any other creature) just for entertainment. If that's what the video in the OP is showing, it isn't being perpetrated by animal lovers.

          That said, it's perfectly reasonable that animals kept as pets should hold a special place in people's hearts, and that certain animals might take precedence over others in a person's emotions. And while a cat owner, for example, might be saddened by their pet's proclivity to capture and toy with a wounded bird or small mammal, they wouldn't be outraged at their animal's natural instincts.

    This is actually my problem with the video in the OP, as well as the video I posted. Why would any reasonable person let pets attack a cobra? Not only for the snake, but especially the danger to the dogs...
