Days I don't hit the gym I feel withdrawal so effing bad.
Need to lift something.
But going everyday is just too much- will lead to overtraining and injury but still the urges are bad
Any tips?

Take a nice, long walk at a reasonable clip in a scenic environment and contemplate your place in the universe. That will do more for you than any muscle mass that you can build.

    Cheers. - Frank

I'm sure there are lots of jobs, where lifting is part of it.

Some guys that are gym rats, just train one body part a day.

Trust me working out is addictive as most any synthetic drug.

You get those Endorphins let loose in your blood system and you get addicted to that feeling.

    Its a good one though

Add some other types of training on alternate days - perhaps running or stretching on the beach - swimming - yoga or other discipline that has balance and flexibility as a goal. Those will balance the gym workouts that focus on weights and muscle building.

Olympic lifters squat/pull everyday. Old time strong men too. It can be done.

Well I don't use roids or GH so lifting everyday gonna be waay too much, also not good for the heart.

Personally, I would never consider working out with weights everyday.

        Bad advice imo

You don't need to lift every day, why not just do a free weight all body work out, press ups, skipping, burpes, sprints etc...

Even taking walks can addict you to the endorphines. I'm religious about walking a dog when I have one and get to the point I'll walk in some pretty vile weather just to get out there.

I always forced myself to shut down and relax for at least one day a week, though. I'd never think of going to a gym or doing that kind of working out every day unless it was for a short period of time for some specific purpose.
