does anyone use a virtual software to launch window apps on a mac

i want to buy a software but is window's base.

but i have a mac. and it says that it would work on a virtualbox software.

does anyone have any experience with this?
what software do you use?

    I'd suggest looking into Parallels.

    I'm not a Mac guy, but I have setup numerous apps on Parallels for companies that were predominantly windows shops, but had a few Mac's in graphic design or publications.

    It works very effectively.
