I'm out of the hospital and back to this, er, ghost town, now.

Hi guys!

If you even missed me or wondered where I've been, I'll tell ya. But you probably haven't because, you've not been here either.

So first, to all of my beloved ghosties, BOOOO! Hahaha!

Okay...

So last Tuesday, Bill came home from work all stuffed up and with a slight cough. A summer cold he picked up from work, uggh!

We left for Houghton for the Fourth of July long weekend Thursday afternoon. I woke up with a terribly sore throat Friday morning and it all went down hill from there.

We came home Sunday night and I was admitted into the hospital early Monday morning, 3 am, with double pneumonia and just got home late afternoon yesterday. I slept until this morning.

I'm feeling a little better but still am coughing my head off.

Cheryl, because I wasn't feeling well, there aren't many pictures of Lexi's first vacation, in case you ask.

I got one on the way up when she finally found her comfy spot in the car on the way up. Please disregard hubby's I'm not shaving because we're going on vacation face, lol!

                          Your husband and Lexi both look pretty comfy. How in the heck did you get pneumoniax2? That is horrible. My allergies haven't quit in months and months and my head is always stuffed up. We've gotten rain every day for what seems like forever, the weeds are growing like crazy everywhere and I've a feeling that has a lot to do with it. Lucky I haven't gotten pneumonia from all the congestion.

                          What a way to spend your vacation. I just thought you were on a longish one. Sure hope you are feeling lots better soon.

                            I think it started by catching hubby's cold and my mold allergy kicked in up at the cabin as well. It came on fast and furious!

                            I hear ya, there were only 6 days in the whole month of June that were dry. That leaves 24 days of rain. The mold count is through the roof!

                            I'm on the mend and slowly starting to get better. My doctor also gave me a pneumonia vaccination that is good for 5 years and I let him do it!

                            On the way home, in the car, I was having a very hard time breathing between bouts and bouts of unproductive coughing and told Bill to please just suffocate me and put me out of my misery. Respiratory arrest must be a very tortuous way to go, man! I seriously was done with living at that point. I'm glad hubby didn't oblige me and took me straight to the hospital instead.

        Terra, I thought you were still on vacation at the lake - I had no idea you were sick and in the hospital again!!! So sorry to hear you had pneumonia, but glad you're out of the hospital and on the mend. That must have been awful!

        Glad you're back here as well!

        Loved the photos of Lexi with Bill - too cute! (And thanks for thinking of me!)

        As for moving; I've no idea but I do hope someone let's me know if there's a new, much improved (i.e. invite only) place to hang out... Would be great to get some of those who've left to come and join us again, but don't think that will happen here...

      Hi, Terra, sorry to hear about the hospital stint, my Mother had a mild case of that, and a truck load of antibiotics, so not to be messed around with!

      Lexi is as cute as ever, certainly has her masters wrapped around her finger, (or paw) he, he!

        Yeah, antibiotics, a butt load of different types and forms of steroid crap too. I fear I'm bulking up, lol!

        It's kind of funny though, I keep taking naps, but don't realize I'm taking naps until I wake up from them and that is on top of all of the steroid treatments.

          And this one is a deceased estate, which still has potential, but the sheets are going up!

    Sucks that you're allergic to your own state. Exactly why I live in the west now. I don't cater to pneumonia twice a year. If you're going to live in an environment you're deadly allergic to - maybe it would be cheaper for you if you just bought everything the hospital has and set up your own hospital stay right at home. You'd probably be able to afford it by now considering what you've spent on their accommodations in the last year.

    Lexi looks very content.......and well worn out. Must have been a great vacation for her anyway, even if not for her mommy.

      Maybe those toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches with white processed bread, that tastes so good, to hell with the healthy bit!

      But the rocky road, mini chocolate bars are pretty hard to ignore as well?

        Nope! Not with my grain allergies, wheat, rye, oats, barley and corn. I can hardly eat much. Do you know how much food has some sort of corn in it, whether corn syrup, starch, flour, yada, yada?

        I was never offered any rocky road, mini chocolate bars.

      Well, technically, I have only had pneumonia once this year. Last time it was an anaphylactic allergic reaction, remember?

      Just anaphylactic shock is all, Hahahaha, is all, BwaaaHaaaa!

      Wheee! These meds are fun!! LOL!

      But, there is no way I could move away from my grandbabies just yet. Perhaps when hubby retires and the grandkids are much older, we could move but then again, we both vowed after this one, that we would never, ever move again.

      Maybe only if it was doctor's orders...

        Actually, I'm surprised the doctors haven't ordered it yet. As far as the home hospital unit - not a problem, just equip that room with a few epi pens and lots of benedryl to prevent "aftershocks".
