Skycraper

Have you ever been to a skycraper, how was the experience and where is it.? Any advice for those who has fears of heights like me.

    Don't look out the windows. Otherwise if you distract yourself and you'll forget that you're even high up.

    Afraid it's going to collapse? Remember 9/11, the towers didn't collapse from a plane traveling at several hundred miles per hour, no they collapsed because of the extremely hot fires caused by burning jet fuel. Which melted the infrastructure of the towers. Skyscrapers are extremely safe.

    Just don't look out any windows. And if you do look out, don't look down.

    I'm not sure how extreme your fear is, but I hope this helps.

    Probably the only time I've been very nervous high up was at the CN tower in Toronto - they have a transparent floor you can walk on - looking down to the ground is pretty intense.

    I had some butterflies at the 3rd stage of the Eiffel Tower too - but the view around Paris took care of them - pretty impressive.

    As for other sky scrappers even near windows I don't get nervous. We have a new tower here in Raleigh that has condos all the way up to the 33rd floor. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows and the view is great. But not recommended for someone with fear of heights.

    As Arted4life said - its usually ok if you don't look down.

    I have been in the door of a blackhawk at 8000 feet, i have been out the door of a c130 at 2000 feet.

    But i'm not a big fan of heights. Its not the fall i'm worried about, its the sudden stop that concerns me.

      I'd have to say that must of been quite the experience, Ive done CN tower, as I live just outside of Toronto, but Ive never been in the door of a C130 or a Blackhawk.

    Do you mean skyscraper or skycraper?

    I'm guessing a skycraper is when someone goes skydiving for the first time and as soon as they jump out of the plane, they realize they "soiled" their underwear?

    Great experiences shared here. I haven't been to very high skyscrapers as many have mentioned here. But whatever high buildings I went up and looked down it certainly felt scary.
