Met Yoda's Creator

Just got back to Florida

On the island of St Maarten resides the guy who created Yoda. He has has a Star Wars Memorabilla store there where he sells reproductions of rare storyboard collages and pictures from his involvement. A Brit of course. He also sells his paintings.

His name: Nick Maley

Had a long chat with him, not so much about the movie, more about world politics.

I think he was grateful to talk about something off topic for a change.

            Someone had to iron superman's tights.

            I told him I communed with Claude Whitacre and he asked for an autographed copy of one of your videos. Offline Marketing or Bubblwrap Bimbo's I enquired. What's the difference he asked?

      Politics were fairly liberal His merchandise was very expensive. Twenty bucks for a bookmark (which he signed) I ask you, Still he has to make a living

      He had a framed letter confirming him as an fx man on the original superman movie 60 pounds a week which later rose to 150, early days.

      He also worked on Aliens and some other big name movies

      I quit being awestruck by famous people years ago. They are just regular people who may be able to do one or two things better than me. But not much else, just from my observation

        Gee, all l ran into recently was a fashion model, at the new David Jones store at Eastland.

        Well, l wish that l had run into her!


        How do l know, because l read and saw her picture a few days later in the Herald Sun, (Australian paper).

        You can always tell they are wealthy since they are happy and have white teeth!

    A lot of people known for something in particular feel like that. To all of us, it all seems fascinating..........yet to them it's still their every day work. I think it'd be hard to be famous for something I did. You'd rarely get a chance to "get away from the office".
