Since the suggestion forum is ignored. Would it pay for the Qualified writers to flag down the content writer threads starting today.? Marcia, Gordon and a few others have been critical of these posts. Maybe it is time to start each day and everybody flag down 1 post at a time as they appear.

The moderators would get tired of having to review them and would just move them instead. Hopefully those long content posts could be moved or sent hear to the off topic section where they can be ignored. In the long run we would no longer have to view that crap.

Look at some of the copy and paste posts or the content writing posts and move them out of that section. If I posted this in the suggestion forum to create just a content forum or re-open the articles section, it would just get ignored.

Hope that clear it up for you.

  • I would wanna see sum articles in the ARTICLES section.

For a forum awash with more articles than it knows what to do with, it is weird how the 10th article in the dedicated ARTICLE section last got a sniffa comment back in Jan 2015.

    Seems an easy swichta make.

Absolutely they need to allow members to post in the Article section again.

The basic underlying problem is that, as annoying as they are, they still meet the (current) rules. (I still have some lingering suspicion that many of them are paid for by Freelancer.com.)

I agree with Princess, that the Articles subforum is, in fact, the correct location for these articles.

I have the same suspicion about those posts, but that is one of the very few sections that have(or had) any value here recently. Hate to see it go down hill any more then it has.

Thanks for the clarification. I agree that they should go in the articles section and I have no idea why that isn't happening...except that it makes as much sense as many other things.
This forum used to be fantastic in many ways. Now it feels like it's a MacGyver job...being held together by duct tape and safety pins, and that saddens me.

Interesting. It looks like they (quietly) opened it back up.

Just for grins, I went back to the very first page, from 2010. Many of the articles ended with a clear, specific call-to-action, complete with URL. Presumably against policy now.

Articles forum has been closed for 2 years or more - it was a paid section and was so badly used it was closed. Copy/paste, poor quality, blatant plagiarism - it didn't work very well.

Must admit to some curiosity about who the "60+" people "viewing the article section" are....

Probably the ones copying them and pasting them to the main forum.

    That is FUNNY!

A sticky still says "article section is closed" - but you can post in it now - did they charge you for it? It used to be pay to post....

They did not charge me. I'm debating whether to write up a WSO detailing my exact approach. For now, I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader.
