Figured Out Forum Editing Problem

Try this, you'll see it's in fact the problem.

Go to the test forum and create a thread WITHOUT a link in it.

Go and edit the post and save. It will save fine.

Then, go back and edit the post and copy and paste a WF thread link into
it and try to save it.

The error message you get will be the length of the link you just pasted.

The forum is including the length of any links in the thread as the thread
title.

Now, I don't yet know if this carries through for the whole thread,
meaning if there is just one link in a thread of 20 posts if that one link
will not allow anybody to edit, but it is the links causing the problem.

    Okay, upon further investigation, it's not the link.

    The whole post is being included in the length of the title.

    In fact, if you make a short post of just a few words and then edit those
    few words to a few different words, what you will find is that the title will
    try to use your actual post as the title. If short enough, it will actually
    change the thread title without you changing it yourself.

      I mentioned this edit error last night - but all we can do is report it and let the forum folks fix it. Meanwhile, we're stuck with our typos....oops.
