Sold My First Domain for $1800 - Introduction

Hey All,

Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself.

I sold my first domain for $1800 a couple of years ago, back then I was still in college and didn't really think much about it. I was a college student and saw the short term money and didn't think anything of it and didn't look long term; pretty much blew the money in a couple of months and bragged to all my friends "I just sold a domain for $1800". I really wish I could go back in time, see the bigger picture, and really learn website flipping, SEO, content creation, etc. as I had so much more time on my hands while I was in school.

Right now, I'm currently graduated and started an ecommerce site and brick and mortar showroom/ office. We currently are using an agency to manage all our PPC and SEO. We're receiving tons of traffic but are having a conversion problem, but that's a different story.

Anyways, I came across a website in my industry and saw how much traffic it was receiving and saw the amount affiliate links and ads. I started doing some research and am developing an affiliate program for our ecommerce site. Throughout my research, I found how lucrative it can be for those who truly understand affiliate marketing and driving people to a site.

So I wanted to start my own sites, in other niches, to see if I can drive people to those sites and so I can understand what we're paying these agency's for and see if we can optimize their optimization.
