Browsing the internet without an IP address

Hello all,

I would like to look at options of being able to go over the internet without leaving an IP trail. My understanding is that the IP address is like your home address. So, with that in mind are there any services out there that could allow for this to happen?

TIA

Think you would probably need a VPN (virtual private network)!

VPN or proxies can help to hide your IP if you want to keep your personal IP private, but remember an IP can still be traced and retrieved.

How can this be done? I had thought of signing up with a VPN provider - but - if it does not work, then what is the use?

Thanks all for the response. Has anyone worked with any good VPN providers out there? I have heard that some of them don't work.

Yes, i am running one since 2010 and it works great with huge list of IPs. Easy to use navigation and works almost in any IP related cases....Here...

This is just a recommendation as i never have had any issues with the provider...

A VPN won't cover your tracks. Anyone that says it will is living in a fantasy land.

When I want to go online privately, I use the Tor browser. You can try that - it's free.
