When I was 15 one of my "Friends" gave me a massive dose of cannabis that completely screwed my head up and gave me Social Anxiety.

Then when I was 18 (on my Birthday) they spiked my beer with something like Ketamine which basically left me zonked out for hours and (I think) gave me brain damage because it gave me a droopy eyelid.

Then I realized that my experience wasn't all that unusual. In fact it's quite common and was the inspiration for the movie "Dead Man's Shoes."

The video won't play, but I read the synopsis of the movie and it sounds good.

I'm sorry you were drugged when you were younger. Your young friends could have killed you.

Ketamine has several legal uses. It's a powerful horse tranquiliser. I know this from a friend who worked with horses.

It's also used as a way to help doctors wean patients off strong prescription medications including morphine. I know this for a fact as I have experienced it several times.
You spend up to a week in hospital as they slowly increase the dose so you don't hallucinate too much. The higher the dose, the increased effects will be.

A droopy eye isn't necessarily a side effect of brain damage but I would recommend talking to an eye specialist about it as a first step.

Like most pharmaceuticals, I'm sure there are illegal ways to obtain them and I wouldn't be hanging around those so-called friends if that's how they treat you.

It's OK: That was several years ago and my eye healed.

      P.S.

Claude uses them when he visits the fillies in the stables late at night. A case of one tiny pin prick followed by another.

Actually, he visits the stallions. One giant prick followed by another.

Yes. I debated this one, but too good to pass up. Besides, it's rooted in truth.

I was on the fence whether to thank this one. You won me over with "rooted." Well played.

Lol. Something I began creating the last time I was in Hospital is HopeAndAdvice.com [Not online yet.] Basically it's everything I have learned the past decade or so dealing with my illness.

Anyway definitely don't inject that stuff.
