Ok, to be more serious, the internet is full of very lonely, individuals that seem to have a deep need to believe that the world has no secret agenda, and all is what it seems, and will befriend anyone, regardless of their track record, or how much damage they are doing, (befriending this person) to their credibility or standing, or trustworthiness.

Present very good evidence, and it is ignored or twisted or forgotten, etc.

I presented very good evidence on a non warm and fuzzy subject, and was greeted with about 5 trolls who took their art form very seriously.

One said, click on this link so some F***wit, can give us some lame reason that it wasn't true.

Another tried to befriend me, which l found odd since his track record was pitiful, (later he caved in and threw some mud, but by then l told him, that l saw through his, kinda plan).

Respect is earned, and some might hug these individuals, but it is a bit like befriending a hobo and giving him your Porsche keys...

If the hobo has a track record, and never apologies or takes responsibility for his actions, (past or present) then it is only a matter or time, but as l said some are lonely and will take big risks, (stupid risks no doubt).


Others tried other tricks, including the Mightier Than Though one, where they act like they own the forum, and l should obey their Swiss Cheese Pre-school beliefs.

Not easy having a goon squad all going after you, but very satisfying to slam the lot. And good training...

I also presented some very good info, on a subject he wanted, (mightier than though one) more info, on, and his reply was lets, say, seriously deranged, but no surprises there.

It seems that the forums with the most out there subjects also have a small group that actively attack and bully anyone who has No Warm and Fuzzy views, there bag of tricks work on most, unfortunately.

As for friends, if someone who never apologizes, or takes responsibility for his actions, and has a bad track record wanted to be my friend, he would get a flat out NO.

I have trust issues I know that and I am trying my best to overcome it but if the people that I love will keep on lying to my face even though they know fully well that I'd be hurt because of it but still chose to do it? When you are an adult it's time to stop worrying about 'bullies'. If you are 'presenting evidence' and others don't like the evidence....move on to dealing with different people or to a different setting.

Why is it important to 'clobber' others - why does your argument have to be the best, the strongest, iron clad? You post a lot about 'presenting evidence' - just make sure people are interested in the 'evidence'. You can be so friendly and funny - avoid presenting yourself as a victim and you'll stop feeling like one.

When it gets to throwing out political opinions - and speaking for what women think or want or will tolerate....the thread needs to head for higher ground.

No, you don't. You let it get to you - and that encourages anyone 'picking' on you. You don't have to 'laugh it off' or tell them to 'f-off'.....you need to reach the point where you can shrug and walk away. What they think doesn't matter in your life - doesn't define you unless you allow it to.

Shane - the last thing you need are people telling you it's ok to keep carrying around resentment from years, months, weeks or days ago. You don't need to find more ways to convince people or to get back at them - you need to learn to shrug your shoulders and find a better place/people. That is when you gain control.

If a group online doesn't accept you or seem to like you - find another group. Find those people who agree with you and have similar interests. (And avoid those whose 'interest' is only talking about how badly the world treats them)

Here's something I've tolerated my entire life, but seems to be getting to me more and more after all these years. It's people at the grocery store that park their carts in the middle of the aisle when looking at items so you can't get by. Or they'll leave their cart next to a pile of boxes the stocker has in the aisle, effectively blocking the entire row.

Women are much worse at this than men. And each time it happens I think to myself that they've been shopping for decades and still haven't figured out when they stop to shop to put their cart as close to the shelves as possible.

It's OK to have some situational awareness and expand your little world beyond the can of cling peaches you're obsessing on.

Kirby used to call us every 2-3 months trying to get a foot in our door by offering to clean the carpet in one room for free. One time when they called, to the best of my recollection, the conversation went like this after they made the room cleaning offer:

Me: Yeah, there's blood everywhere. We should clean it before it dries. Can you come over right now?

They hung up. They never called back, ever. I expected the police to come over after that but they didn't.
