Hey,

Everyone discusses their success stories. However, I believe that failure is a great teacher.

I have failed in three businesses before making it in Internet marketing.

I want to take the forum, to ask you, where have you failed? and what have you learnt from those failures?

    I failed in school.

Most of it was a lack of applying my effort.

I failed with an old blog because I was in it for the wrong reasons. Mainly wanted to make money and I did not render ample service nor build my friend network. Failure seems to root itself in doing stuff mainly to get, not to give. At least from my mess ups.

That's true Ryan. I heard this in the movie Kung-Fu Panda 3. Master Oogway said "The More You Take, the Less You Have!"

I think the world is very beautifully balanced in giving. The more we give, the better we feel. And that's TRUE WEALTH indeed. Cause the better we feel, the happier we are..

And aren't we all doing everything to Make OURSELVES Happy? That's the Essence of Life!

Hail Master Oogway, and the cute Panda. Still one of my Favs..

I only had one business failure. And that was because I followed someone else's business plan. I was running a sales company and the new National Sales Manager had a bright idea to stop paying commissions, pay salaries, and stop paying sales incentives. He promised that he had done this for years and it was incredibly successful.

And that promise is how he got the job.

No idea what part of my brain had died to allow me to follow such advice. But it took all of 3 months for me to spend $50,000 in savings...and run up my credit cards another $50,000.

My reps were happy though. I was paying them a good wage and they didn't have to sell anything. In fact, they didn't understand why I kept bringing up the subject of sales.

It was only a failure in the sense that I knew better. Hiring non-salespeople in a non sales task...hoping for sales. I still have my desk....and most of my sanity.

Other than that, I always made money. From small classified ads, direct mail ads, selling in homes, retail, selling local online services...I always made money soon after I started.
It wasn't because I was brilliant. I just studied what successful people did, before I started a new business. There is an obvious question. I wonder if anyone will ask it.

If more people were truly busying trying, there would be a lot more successful people in the world. The sad truth is that too many people believe that talking about doing something is the same thing as actually doing something.

There's a lot of that going around. :-)

Funny thing is, I bought his money making course using classified ads. It really wasn't a bad course. Better than some I've seen.

He started selling supplements on TV and started promising miracle cures. That's what got him in trouble, I think. But he rode the infomercial wave as long as he could. Back when it cost almost nothing to run a 30 minute infomercial. Everyone that ran one, made money.

But if you named the top infomercial pitchmen of the 1980s and 1990s...most are in prison or dead.

By the way, I really did make money selling things through the mail. I started as a teenager...selling comic books (buying large lots and selling them individually), buying chameleons by the 100, and selling them one at a time, buying several items at liquidations and selling them in classified ads. For years I bought truckloads of used vacuum cleaners, cleaned them and sold them by advertising in classified ads. Hugely profitable.

And only a decade ago, I made several hundred thousand dollars buying used air purifiers (by using classified ads) and selling them...with classified ads in the same newspaper. .

Of course, now classified ads are almost nonexistant...except online.

oh yeah i bought that too 20 years ago ...if laprea didn't kill himself he would be in prison .. and it is only a matter of time before the same thing starts happening to many internet marketers .. using the same scammy methods ..it probably already is .. you just don't see people faces at this point .

yes people could make money doing the work in this course. but laprea and his companies made the real money getting people in the expensive upsell coaching programs or the other things they did once they had someone's telephone number and home address ..

well i agree and disagree there are a lot of people trying stuff that is a waste of time ..to put on a show of trying or looking like they are doing... rather than doing things that actually work or have a chance of working .. that can be built into more and more success ...or they are at a level of success they are happy with ..

but put on a show and waste effort and money trying to look like they are building something much bigger than they actually want ..so they go with a model that they know will fail ..put on that show.. then they pick the pieces up build the much smaller business they are happy with ..

oh it was the school system i was in that failed me .. or that by design fails most of those who go through it .. but then it wasn't designed to makeke everyone into lawyers doctors or engineers ..or some type of degree .. still needed to fail enough people to have factory workers , janitors , people to pick up garbage and people to gointo the criminal justice system to fill all the for profit prisons they where building when i was going to school . .. we cant afford to give you things like paper and pencils and textbooks that are newer than 20 years old.. but because you may get shot or stabbed outside of school.. and since we can't afford to buss you in if you are under 2 miles from the school .. we will search you and put you through metal detectors as you come into school ..

ok you can't write we are sorry we don't have the resources to teach you to teach you how to write and improve .. instead .. we will give you another study hall .. just bring your own paper and pencils and read the notes you take in english class to improve your skills ...

I understand your story. And I know how exactly you feel!

Well, let me share my story. I tried setting up three different businesses before I got into digital marketing.

The second one in that was a cooking appliance distribution network. Me and my partner had worked a hell lot to set-up a distribution network across a major region.

However, my business partner was misguided by someone (I still don't know whom) and he decided to call it quits, midway... without even giving me a reason why.."

That's where it all ended. He took away his share, dissolved the partnership and left. I still have not contacted him... and I still don't know why he did so..

But, that's what it is. I moved on.. to my next business venture!

It was tough, but that's how it was..

I failed in love.My love cheated me with my best friend. They both break my trust.I am failure in love and in friendship. So I was about to suicide when i came in such situation.I went with depression and it took me 4 Years to overcome the pain. But Now i learned. No matter what the situation is Life Goes On...Now when I fail or get hurt...I cry a lot but next day I wake up with pride and confidence...Because I have learnt that life goes on...If i have any problem,I purposely cry so much...So that I free up my burden by crying today and next morning I make sure I don't cry for same kind of reason again.

    Yes, I Fail!
First I Failed in 11th Class its guided me where I was going and where I want to go.
Secondly I failed to choose my career path and it teach me the complexity, highly competitive industry and peoples who are always want to pull you down. This four years teaches me alot and the good thing inside me is craziness and confidence both is alive to rule my destiny.
