Embedding video in my thread?

Im trying to create my warrior for hire thread, how can I embed my youtube videos as samples? I can only post link but I want people to see video directly in thread.

    To add a video on the forum simply enter the LINK to the video - that should work.

    Yes, l have had issues with self embedding here in the past, but if the issue persists, then it is best to contact the help desk.

    The forum is messed up.

    Paste the Youtube video page URL (not embed code).

    If you submit the forum comment and see a bunch code/text, go back and edit the forum comment, delete all the Youtube code/text and past the same Youtube video page URL, save the forum comment edit and it should work the second time.

      They appeared to have fixed that issue Yukon, when l put up my music post, l didn't have that issue.

    It's not complicated - embed code doesn't work on the forum - use the url of the video and you'll be fine.


    The OP said 'can only post link' - and that's what he should do.

      It is complicated. The forum is broken.

      The URL doesn't always/usually work the 1st time the comment is submitted. Editing the comment/URL usually works.

      Posting a link to Youtube is questionable spam, causing traffic to be distracted by Youtube sidebar videos and nobody wants to leave the forum when the video could have been viewed directly on the forum.

        Phew, unfortunately it is still broken, but a quick solution to having to go back into your post, and position the url again, is to cut and paste the lot, (video link, text, etc) back in, or delete the lot, and paste it back in, with the original video link.
