Can anyone recommend a web based Marketing Strategy management software to run a marketing department? I am building a a marketing team for my department and want a tool where we can manage our marketing efforts.

That is not a simple question. It comes down to what you want to do with the software and how you plan to have your marketing team use it. There are some programs which are great for online measurements while others have all the bell and whistles. It also comes down to how much your company will adopt the software across all departments. The more company involvement you have the better data you will get, which will allow for you to develop more sophisticated metrics. The more elaborate programs actually just work in the background gathering the data. It is pretty cool stuff that can really allow you to gather new forms and type of data that was not available before. Let me know what you are thinking and I can give you some ideas. I love data.

Just to be clear you don't want your marketing software to gather any data or track anything? What it looks like to me is that if that is correct then any of the more basic plans at hubspot or zoho should work for you. Only thing is if you are going to be starting it now, I would recommend you look into doing more. Only because it is easier to implement when starting new and the costs to implement are far outweighed by the information you gain.

Highly doubtful that you are going to find a one-stop solution, especially since once you start, you will probably find more tasks that you want to add to your wish list.

There are dozens of project management sites and resources to choose from. Google is your friend.

I would recommend the way to start, and the way I recommend my friends to do it, is sit down somewhere quiet and imagine if there was no budget, what would you envision the software to do. All the data, you can gather, all the different analytics you could do, automation of different campaigns, etc. With this list go to your marketing people now and challenge them to add to this list. Once you have this list, you will have an idea for what software to get. The reason being, many of the software suites have different levels. So while you might not have the resources or time right now to implement them all, finding the software that can let you upgrade in the future to slowly add those services is a big plus. Especially, since the longer you are with a software package it can be harder to switch to another company. I have had my friends do this and be very happy. It also allows for people to come to a true understanding of where they are now and where they want to go.
