Success is Not a Destination, But a Journey - Making Money

The only reason why people fail to achieve success is because of their own actions. If you are too lazy, complacent, or stuck on a one way mentality to achieve success, then you will more than likely fail if what you are doing does not work. Basically too many people fail because they want success to come quick and/or easy. Guess what people? That is NOT going to happen!

    THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX

If you want to make money while you are waiting for your website to turn a profit, you must think outside of the box and come up with ways to make money

what about the other guy who's business did well then invested into a chain of donut shop as long as he got all the donuts that would have been thrown out at the end of the day ..

I hear his waistline exploded ..

        (( ok it's like a disease this claude joke thing .. damint .. ))

as for the success question .. i'm not as focused on success today as i am about building success for life ..because my choice a few years back was to keep letting my health get worse end up on some type of disability check with an addiction to pain medications .blowing up over 300 pounds and dieing in bed in 10 to 15 years or sooner from an accidental od from mixing drugs ..

and even though i am much healthier now i still have back pain that doesn't allow me to work full time without drugs..and i refuse to take aspirin or tylenol when i have a headache i hate the idea of being on drugs so much ..so i have no choice but to build my own thing ..

the thing i hate worse than taking drugs is the concept of depending on a check or any kind of money from the government ..that includes me having to claim poverty destitution or lifelong disability ..

in your own business you can write of a million a year in expenses like plane ticket expensive restaurants with clients ..nearly anything you can proved you do that creates revenue .. with less effort than getting a 900 dollar a month disability check..or whatever social security desides you deserve after 40-50 years of paying money into the system

Your question can be taken in different ways. Are you asking HOW people have gained success? Or WHY people have done what they have done to gain success?

Gaining success makes me a stronger person than I was yesterday. Getting stronger, getting better one day at a time is what motivates me to gain success everyday. It may not be a huge leap but the important thing is to get there. Taking small steps makes a lot of difference compared to staying stagnant.

The main reason, so l can get up at the crack of dawn, put up my hands and greet the new day by putting my hands around the rising sun, (and apparently irreparably damage my eyesight) eat a plate of raw spinach, go to the gym, and work for 10 hours each day, and remind myself that l am not a workaholic, then probably go wild game hunting in the afternoon, for laughs.

That or the other option of dragging humanity kicking and drooling into a new golden age, save the world a few times for laughs, learn Klingon and stay in 5 star luxury hotels, near a beach with palm tree's, so l can legally pat the white swans.

We want to achieve success because it is a part of our life plans.
Success is strongly related with our life plans. We can distinguish certain milestones in our plans, like graduating, getting a desired job, starting own business or new relationship. Achieving these milestones are successes for us. Each of these goals brings us positive feelings and emotions because we know that our life plans are fulfilling and that we are making visible progress.

I want to be successful because I want to have a stable income, it is not for myself but for my family, I want to have fun while I work as well, freedom is what we are looking for, we can work while we play, that is what I am looking for, I want to be successful for my family so I can provide what they need and what they want. I am a father and a husband who wish to give my family a good life. I may not be perfect but I like to work on it and give my best. I want to be successful in many ways, but of course, I need to work for it.

So - you're going to go with that, aye. I would have thought by now that with all the people who might have helped you along the way, that one of them would have told you that sticking with that mantra, forever, can result in disaster.

It's always better to see the handwriting on the wall telling you that it's time to quit, then being forced to quit before you can salvage anything.

Never quitting is a ludicrous concept that IM'ers love to state and doesn't show much common sense as far as a belief system goes. Knowing when to quit is a sign of intelligence, knowing - and loving yourself and having a firm grip on reality.

I'm thinking that you also believe that, "Winners, never quit and quitters, never win." Have I guessed, correctly. :-)

now i was wondering.. by grip on reality.. do you mean more in line of true self awareness ..verse the self delusion people can fall into with motivation and the you can do anything you want to do be anything you want to be line ..

i can see someone never giving up on themselves.. but there is a lot of things people have to learn to quit and stop doing real fast ..

Of course one should maintain a 'never quit' attitude. I do that in all aspects of my life. However, I believe that I have made it to a ripe, old age by learning how to evaluate a situation and determine early on that no matter what I might try, the likelihood for success just wasn't probable and continuing to throw good money after bad, or wanting to push on so I didn't think of myself as a failure was based on ego - not common-sense and self-love.

Some things just don't work out, regardless of what one thinks, going in. Most businesses fail in the first two years, both online and in brick and mortar, for myriad reasons. Just because a business fails, that doesn't make you a failure. You can say that if you had only kept at it longer, you would have succeeded is easy to say, but dangerous to attempt, once you know the truth.

I've had more failures than successes in my life. That's what has enabled me to ultimately succeed. I learned lots in those failures, including in many of them, especially early on, that I should have thrown in the towel, much sooner than I did, but I was too arrogant and obstinate. I resisted being honest with myself and admitting that I made a mistake.

I still maintain the belief that I can do anything I put my mind to, but I've developed enough humility (rarely, if ever, displayed here) to realize that everything needs to align properly for success to be achieved and oftentimes obstacles arise that can't be overcome.

There is nothing wrong with falling off the horse. You only have a problem if you refuse to get back on the horse and utilize what you learned at the last rodeo to make your chances of success stronger, on the next go 'round. Even, then - there is still the possibility of more failure.

All this crap that is of no value beyond being put on a motivational poster in an attempt to convince them that it must be true, serves no one, well. Like the one with the cat hanging from the branch of a tree with the caption, "Hang in there." If that cat wasn't so friggin' stupid, he would have never gotten in trouble in the first place.

I have a message for that cat. "Let go, hit the ground hard, learn your lesson that cats don't belong in trees and then look for another more realistic path to follow."

Smart people know when to quit. People that are less smart view quitting as a character flaw. You're not quitting the game. You're simply regrouping and tackling something new.

I don't view not taking action as the biggest obstacle in succeeding in IM. Taking action, for the sake of feeling as if you're doing something, when you don't really know what you're doing and then doing it much longer than is rational, that's a bigger problem.

If "Winners never quit and quitters never win," why is it that with all the times I have quit, in the end, I came out a winner? Riddle me that. lol

One of the principles i follow that has worked in no financial stuff.. and i'm looking for to build financial success .. revolves around just figuring out where you can be far more productive .. than 95-99 percent of people ..and/or where i can capture far more of the value i produce ..

thus are the skills i am building now.. on top of other skills i have ..

this is one of the thing i don't understand why motivational speakers seem to ignore .. or may just not understand .. but i hear it from successful people .. they describe it .. but cal it hard work .. instead of productivity .. because it is hard to actually explain

For me it is all about freedom. Being able to travel around the world whilst only worrying about the WiFi connection at the place I'm travelling to.

As a higher purpose, one of my 'WHY's when it comes to being successful is that I want to be able to help other people have the same level of success. This would result in a happy fulfilling life while also making the world a better place in the process.
